Classroom Policies

• Check constantly your STU e-mail.• Computers are for academic purposes.• No food and drinks in the lab.• Onsite attendance is mandatory on

Wednesdays– 1 Absence = 2 percent points loss.

• Online attendance is mandatory the other two days of the course: Mon. & Fri.– Hours/week average must be at least 6.

• Quizzes are taken immediately after completing a slice.

• Retake quizzes until earning at least 70%.

• No cell phones during class.• Bring your own supplies.• Calculators are allowed on certain

instances.• Pie must be completed by the week

prior finals.• Incomplete grade is granted if pie is

completed and 3/4 of the quizzes were taken by end of course.

• Read course syllabus for other policies.

When you are…

To pass this course…

• Complete whole pie in ALEKS.

• Take all quizzes.

• Your overall average is at least 70% for MAT098 & 099 and 75% for MAT100A.

Students can exit this course and be placed in the next higher level math course if they score 90% in the Initial Assessment that will be administered during the first week of the course.
