Present Progressive TensePresent Progressive Tense

We use the Present Progressive Tense to talk about an action that is in progress at the time of speaking.Example: The baby is crying (when? … Now.)

Past Now Future

Subject To be Main verb + ing complement

I am Watch +ing Tv now.

He is Watch + ing Tv right now

They are Watch +ing Tv in this moment.

Verb ending in...How to make the -ING

formExamples

+ consonant +1 vowel + 1 consonant (except verbs that end in w – y

– x)

Double the consonant, then add -ING

swim - swimminghit - hitting

-e Remove E, then add -ING come - comingLive - living

-ie change to -YING Die – dyingLie - lying
