Automotive applications

All of different plastic-consuming markets, the automotive industry is the prime user of talc reinforced plastic products. Today, a car contains up to 1,000 different plastic components. The most commonly used is polypropylene.

Usually there are three parts used talc products to Automotive application:

1. Under the bonnet 2. Dashboard and interior parts 3. Bumber and exterior trim

Under the bonnetUnder the bonnet of a car are many different

plastic parts, such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning units. These plastic parts are mainly black and do not require talc with high whiteness.

Up to 40% of high aspect ratio talc(D50:5-10um) enables parts to perform over a wide range of temperatures. Chemical purity is required to give long-term thermal stability.

Dashboard and interior parts For interior plastic components such as consoles,

our talc grant good dimension stability, matt surface and increased stiffness. Dashboards require high levers of stiffness, impact resistance and dimension stability.

Up to20-30% talc with D50 of 5-2um showing the best results. D50of 10-6um showing a normal result.

Bumbers and exterior trim An optimal impact resistance is required of

plastic components for car bumpers.Very fine and lamellar talc with high aspect

ratio provide bumpers with the right balance of rigidity and impact strength.

For this application up to 20-30% of high aspect ratio talc (D50=4um min)

Our products We can offer two products which used to

Automotive application: TALC POWDER TALC

MASTERBATCH

Our talc powder Our products are ranged from 325mesh to 5000mesh

which can used in different industries. To Automotive application: we recommend 800mesh,1250mesh,2500mesh and 5000mesh with different whiteness to different parts of Automotive.

Our talc masterbatch Talc Masterbatch is a new chemical filler for

engineering plastic recently developed for the plastic industry. It is produced by talc powder and PP with different ratio. Our normal product is 80%talc powder and 20% PP. Of course

the ratio can be changed according to customers’ requirement.

Characteristic of talc masterbatch Talc masterbatch have charateristic as below:

1. give long-term thermal stability 2. tensile strength 3. dimension stability 4. effectively reduce equipment wear and tear 5. granular talc masterbatch is easier to handle 6. no dust in the factory 7. improve productivity 30%-40% (it is the most

important)

Talc masterbatch is becoming the most ideal filler for plastic and automotive industry.
