What Is All Saint’s Day?

The festival of All Saints, also sometimes known as All Saints' Day, All Hallows or Hallowmas ("hallows" meaning "saints," and "mas" meaning "Mass"), is a feast celebrated November 1 or the first Sunday after Pentecost in honour of all the saints, known and unknown. All Saints is also a Christian formula invoking all the faithful saints and martyrs, known or unknown.

Here in the Philippines, we celebrates All Saint’s Day on this day. This day is used to be a regular holiday in the Philippines but was changed to a non-working holiday through an Executive Order issued by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo

Many Filipinos recognize All Saint’s Day as a day to commune with their beloved departed..
