SÍNDROME DE TAKOTSUBO
• SÍNDROME de TAKOTSUBO (Sato H, 1990)
representa el 1-2% del total de pacientes
interpretados inicialmente como un síndrome
coronario agudo.
– 50 mil – 100 mil casos/año en USA-Europa

SÍNDROME DE TAKOTSUBO
• El SÍNDROME de TAKOTSUBO (Sato H, 1990)
incluye en la actualidad dos variantes:
– Síndrome de TAKOTSUBO “PRIMARIO”
– Síndrome de TAKOTSUBO “SECUNDARIO”
• Definición para ambos grupos:
– IC aguda reversible por atontamiento miocárdico
generado por una descarga súbita catecolaminérgica

European Society of Cardiology. Eur J Heart Fail. 2016;18:8-27

COMPLICACIONES AGUDAS
• PRESENTE EN EL 50-55% DE LOS CASOS
– Insuficiencia cardíaca: 12-45%; Shock cardiogénico: 4-20%
– Insuficiencia Mitral aguda: 14-25%
– Obstrucción del tracto de salida del VI: 10-25%
– Compromiso VD: 18-34%
– Arritmias cardíacas: 5-15%
– Trombos apicales: 2-8%
– Ruptura ventricular - SIV: 1%

CONCLUSIONES
• SINDROME DE TAKOTSUBO
– Aumento de incidencia reciente
– Alta frecuencia de complicaciones, >hombre vs. mujeres
– No hay tratamientos basados en evidencia
– Las recomendaciones son NIVEL C (opinión de expertos)
– Serán necesarios emprendimientos como el InterTAK
registry (International Takotsubo Registry)

EL FUTURO
• CONFIRMAR SI LA INCIDENCIA DEL STS ESTÁ EN PLENO
