Longitudinal Cross Section for the site

Slope stability is the slope of the soil that make it

stable.

There are several method to analysis slope

stability:

»Infinite Slope.

»Logarithmic Spiral.

»Spencer.

»Morgenstern & Price.

» The project is dealing with slope of the soil by

using GeoStudio software.

» This software is based on Morgenstern & Price

method.

» It gives you a simple analysis for slope stability

and critical slip for the soil.

Model: Mohr-CoulombUnit Weight: 20 kN/m³Cohesion: zero kPaPhi: 20 °

Bedrock

Critical slip at radius = .782

» Grouting and Injection.

» Injection of pile.

» Cement grout.

» Vegetation.

» Retaining Structure.

» These methods increase the resistance and shear

strength of the soil.

» Retaining Wall.

» Boulders Wall.

» Retaining structure are designed using prokon

and Geo5 software.

» Soil properties» Bearing capacity = 250 KN/m²» Ø=20ᵒ, f’c=28 MPa, Fy=420 MPa, gsoil =20 KN/m2

» Surcharge = 15 KN/m2

» Safety factor against overall sliding = Fr/Fh = 1.519

» Safety factor against overturning = Mr /Mo = 5.072

» Over turning(manually)= 3

» Safety factor against sliding = 1.5» Safety factor against overturning = 2.5

» (Seismic Design )

» Properties of boulders

» Unit weight=25KN/m²

» Angle of internal friction=30°

» Cohesion=0

» Using AllPile software to design pile foundation.

» design for two diameter (60, 80) cm and

3lengths (10, 12, 15) m.

» Soil properties:

» C=40KN/m² , Phi=15° , Unit weight=18KN/m³
