The iPhone and Apple have revolutionized the way people listen to music and interact with others.

Apple spent 150 million dollars to develop the

iPhone. In 2007, Apple paid at least 1 million dollars for the

iphone.com domain.

This “candybar” styled device debuted in 2007. By the end of Apple’s third quarter during this year, 270,000 iDevices were sold.

In 2008, the cooler and sleeker iPhone 3G entered the mass market.

The iPhone 3G was released with a larger consumer reaction and it sold an estimated 3 million devices in the first month.

The iPhone 3G appealed to business types, tech lovers and mainstream Americans alike.

On July 11, 2008 Apple released the iPhone 3G in

22 countries. Shortly after, the iPhone 3GS was released and it came equipped with video recording and twice the processing speed.

And then finally came the

iPhone 4…

What did the iPhone 4 have

to offer?

Apple sold over 1.7 million iPhone 4 devices in the first 3 days.

The company went as far as to call it the “most successful product launch in Apple’s history”, citing chief

executive Steve Jobs.

The company has

created a mindset in which the phone is used as a communications and entertainment device. The recession-proof iPhone has helped Apple to reach global success by capturing mindshare and money.

The iPhone offers over 300,000 applications and

there have been more than 7 billion downloads so far. Each app represents who we are and the large variety

available allows us to express our identities.
