Lesson Plan Assignment• Your final lesson plan should:– Use the Picturing America collection– Use primary source materials related to

the collection– Be something you will actually use!

• Lesson Plans with any attachments or worksheets will be due Sept. 16th 2011 as a PDF or Word.doc.

To get you thinking…

Lesson Plan Hints• Consider the information and techniques we

have covered with the understanding that not all of you teach this time period or these topics.

• There is probably a broader theme you can still utilize, i.e. identity, mapping, migration…

• Don’t forget the primary sources on your CD and in the presentations
