What we do?

How do we accomplish our mission?

• Recognize excellence through awards

• Create skills development opportunities through chapter sponsored conferences and workshops

• Support local and/or national organizations that impact issues affecting women, e.g. Race for the Cure and Go Red Day

How do we accomplish our mission?

• Offer an annual doctoral program scholarship for women interested in pursuing a doctoral degree

• Offer annual regional scholarships to students

• Leadership development through the annual LEADERS Institute that supports advancement of women into leadership positions.

• Professional Development -Activities at national, regional, state, and local levels. College chapters, state sections, regional and national conferences.

• Networking – Make contacts and build relationships with community college women throughout the nation.

• Publications - Publications highlighting the association’s activities and timely articles on important women’s issues. An annual publication with research on community college studies and personal accounts pertaining to the community college agenda.

• Advocacy on national issues Welfare, wellness, workforce, equity, and other current national concerns affecting community colleges.

• AAWCC Web site Current information on activities, announcements, job opportunities, and important national issues.
