IMPORTANT: SITE PREPARATION
INSTALLATION OF THE WALL RECEIVER
Wall Receivers and Brackets must be fixed into solid studs/nogs.
1. Apply silicone sealant where the Bath and lining meet, continuing 15mm in from the edge of the lining. Ensure the end of the liner is sealed to the bath.
2. Place the Wall Receiver 13mm in from the front of
the bath edge with the slotted holes facing to the inside of the bath. Vertically plumb the Wall Receiver using a spirit level.
3. Drill pilot holes into the wall.
If an acrylic wall liner is installed check the Wall Liner Finishing Caps can be installed correctly. (pg 9) If required it is easier to trim the liner edges at this point.
4. Apply a continuous full length bead of silicone sealant down the rear of the Wall Receiver.
5. Fix the Wall Receiver in place using the No.8 x
50mm Pan-head screws. Re-check that the Wall Receiver is plumb.
To achieve optimum results when installing the Allora Swing Panel it is important that the Bath and walls of
are level and plumb respectively. The maximum deviation the wall may be from plumb is ±5 mm over the
1500mm height.
For every millimetre the bath is out of level, adjustment of the Swing Panel will be reduced by 2mm.
When being installed with tiled walls it is recommended that the Wall Receiver is fixed and sealed directly to the water proofing membrane and Bath before tiling
TILED WALL INSTALLATION
The Allora Swing Panel can be installed right or left hand hinged. The following instructions shows a right hand hinged screen being installed Important The Take up glass must always be installed with the “TOP” label at the top. The glass door must always be installed with the Athena Logo facing outwards)
Failure to follow these two points will result in insufficient clearances
The Bath must be installed level

INSTALLATION OF THE TAKE-UP
1. Place the Take up panel into the Wall Receiver. 2. Align the Take up so the aluminium edge cap’s “Vee” groove is
accessible through all three slots in the Wall receiver 3. Mark the end of the Take up on the bath then remove. 4. Peel the adhesive tape cover from the bottom face of the Take up sill. 5. Place the Take up sill to the “end mark” and into the Wall Receiver
ensuring it is parallel to the front edge of the bath. Once in position apply downward pressure to the Take up sill to adhere it to the bath.
6. Wipe the bottom edge of the Take-up glass with a damp cloth to make
it easier to slide into the Take-up sill. Position the glass into the Take-up sill with the Aluminium capped edge inserted into the Wall Receiver. The take up glass should finish flush with the exposed end of the Take up sill.
7. Drill through the 2 slotted holes in the Wall Receiver, using the “Vee”
groove in the aluminium profile attached to the edge of the Take-up glass as a guide ( Ø3.3mm drill). Do not drill in any other position as this could damage the glass.
8. Plumb the panel using a spirit level and fix with the No.8 x 12mm Pan
head screws.
NOTE: The Take up is labelled indicating the top of the shower.
INSTALLATION OF THE GLASS BRACE
1. Position the Glass brace bracket to the top of the Take-up panel approximately 130mm in from the glass edge, with the grub screws facing inside the shower. Ensure the gasket is in place, then tighten the inside grub screw.
2. Attach the Glass Brace Wall Brackets to the Glass bracket approx 30 mm in from each end
3. Temporarily fit the Glass Brace into the Glass Brace bracket and mark the positions of the Wall Brackets on the wall
4. Remove the Glass brace and attach the Wall brackets to the wall using the No.8 x 30 countersunk screws . Ensure they are screwed into a solid stud or nog or alternatively use a suitable wall anchor system. (not provided)
5. Once the Wall brackets are in position slide the Glass brace into the brackets. Ensure the gaskets are in place, then tighten all grub screws..

INSTALLATION OF THE HINGES TO THE TAKE UP
1. Tape the 27mm spacer blocks to the top edge of the bath where the glass door will reside
2. Ensure the outside rubber gaskets are fitted to the pivoting side of the hinges. 3. Lift the Door glass and rest onto the spacer blocks. Align with the hinges. N:B Athena Logo should be on the outside 4. Fit the inside rubber gaskets between the glass and the hinge back plates (Use
the same Tip as mentioned earlier) 5. Lightly tighten the socket head screws 6. Repeat for the other hinge 7. Using the Alignment set the gap between the Take up and Door glass at the
point of the hinges to 6mm 8. Fully tighten the hinge back plates 9. Fully tighten the screws on the Take up side of the hinge 10.Remove the 27mm Spacer blocks
INSTALLATION OF THE DOOR TO THE HINGES
1. Disassemble the hinge and position the non pivoting side of the hinge into the Take up panel with the screw ports facing to the inside.
2. Ensure that a rubber gasket is placed on each side of the glass to avoid metal
to glass contact. (Tip: When fitting the inside gaskets it is easier to loosely fix the inside hinge plate first then slide the gaskets in behind)
Please Note: Only the 2.0mm thick gaskets are required for this installation, discard the 1.0mm gaskets
3. Moderately tighten the socket heads screws 4. Repeat for the other hinge

INSTALLATION OF THE DOOR DRIPSEAL AND VERTICAL SEAL
INSTALLATION OF THE WALL RECEIVER COVERS AND GLAZING GASKETS
1. Fit the Wall Receiver Covers inside the shower by sliding into the Wall Receivers. They may need to be lightly tapped home using the wooden block.
2. Insert the outside glazing gaskets between the glass and Wall Receivers starting at the bottom and trimming the excess at the top. Note the correct orientation of the gasket.
3. Repeat with the inside glazing gaskets. Note: To remove the Wall Receiver cover peel out the glazing gasket , slide the cover upwards approximately 50mm then carefully pull or lever out using a flat bladed screwdriver. It may be necessary to remove the Glass Brace first.
1. The vertical seal is supplied in one length and cutting into three different lengths is required. The seals are required to be fitted around the top and bottom of each hinge. Note the direction that the curved flexible blade faces in the photo. Using a sharp knife or fine saw blade in a Coping saw carefully notch the seals - removing the rigid legs
2. Open the door 90 degrees and fit the vertical seals to the
Take up glass 3. Fit the Drip seal as indicated in the diagram. The drip seal
will start flush with the Glass edge on the hinge side and the angled blade of the drip seal will always face towards the inside of the bath. .

SEALING THE ENCLOSURE
Under no circumstance should Silicone sealant be applied to the inside of the shower.
Follow the manufacturers instructions when applying silicone sealant. When applying the silicone in long runs, mask either side of the area with masking tape to ensure a tidy fin-ish. Remove the masking as soon as the silicone has been tooled smooth . Clean up and remove any un-cured silicone with white spirits. Allow 24 hours for the Silicone to properly set. Longer setting times may be required if ambient temperatures are low.
WALL LINER FINISHING CAP - NOT REQUIRED FOR TILED INSTALLATIONS
1. Run a generous bead of silicone up the full length of the joint where the Wall Receiver touches the wall liner.
2. Position the finishing cap so it fits firmly against the Wall Receiver. Note the correct orientation. Tape into place if necessary until silicone cures.
1. Degrease and clean the Acrylic surface with white spirits to improve adhesion when using NG Translucent silicone.
2. Run a continuous bead of the NG Translucent silicone (supplied) along the joint where the Bath Swing meets the bath.
3. Seal the vertical joint between the Wall Receiver and bottom sill up to the glass Glazing gasket.
4. Seal between the Wall Receiver and wall extending up at least 100mm vertically from the tray.
