• Morality is about right and wrong, and how we make decisions about right and wrong.

• A story with a moral is one which tries to point out something which is right or something which is wrong.

Task

• Take a few minutes and write down in your jotters some things which people your age do, which you think is wrong.

Things that are wrong..

• Underage sex• Mugging someone• Smoking• Drinking alcohol• Stealing• Drugs• Lying • Fighting• Underage clubs

• Stabbing someone• Smashing windows• Vandalism• Sniffing glue• drink driving• Setting off fireworks• Hanging about in

gangs• Carrying weapons

Making Stories• Choose one of the actions on the board

which you think is wrong and make up a story with that as the moral.

• i.e. don’t steal

• Your story should have characters and a clear moral – do not write the moral though as the class will have to guess what it is.

• The last line should be:

The moral of the story is …..

• You will do a rough draft in your jotter then when you think your story is ready you will transfer it to A4 paper and you will write it out neatly and include a picture!

Planning your story

• You need to have clear characters,• Who is involved?• What happened?• Where did the story take place?• When did this happen?• Why did this happen?

The last line should be: The moral of the story is …..
