AGR Deepwater Drilling Team Falkland Islands

CHALLENGE

To provide an experienced deepwater drill-ing team to a remote, harsh, environment in both onshore and offshore positions.

AGR Consultancy was also required to work with a major drilling contractor, in support to AGR Well Management, ensuring full tax compliance awareness was communicated to all contractors working in the Falkland Islands.

STRATEGY

Headhunting Direct contact was made with select individ-uals that had proven experience in small or medium operators, and had knowledge of drilling to similar depths.

Data-Mining AGR Consultancy has a database of more than 7,000 candidates in Well Engineering and its related disciplines. We also subscribe to a number of industry-specific recruitment databases. These were rigorously searched to supplement the long list generated by our comprehensive headhunting activity.

Current Consultants We approached several contractors working via AGR to derive recommendations of potential consultants who we have pre-viously not worked with but who could add value to a very complex drilling programme.

RESULT

• Full Drilling & Support team provided by AGR Consultancy over six weeks;

• Well drilled successfully, resulting in oil and gas deemed commercially viable;

• Contract extended from 12 months to 24 months due to success thus far and likelihood of another find; and

• Minimal turnover of contractors due to the calibre of consultants sourced for the project.
