The school was buzzing with the sounds of laughing children.

When we first arrived in Canada, our family had severe culture shock. We didn’t understand the language, the weather was so cold, we couldn’t find good Chinese food anywhere and we were so disoriented to where everything was located.

•Nursing home- type of residential care for elderly people where elderly can receive assistance with activities. Of daily living (toileting, washing, dressing, eating)
Different than hospices (where one can receive end of life care) or retirement home (where the elderly live independently with
minimal assistance)
