• A fanatically academic oriented man he was popularly known by an acronym which is same as the Station code for Babina. His original name please.

However she was best known for sounding the alarm at 10 pm with a call of “Chalo chalo bahut ho gaya, time ho gaya, bas karo”, thus putting an end to the amorous activities for the day. The Golden Jubilee Block came up in the late 90’s

The ASHOKA CHAKRA Library,one of the largest medical libraries in India,came up 2 years back

As did the Central cadets Mess In 2010

And recently,the now fully functional Diamond Jubilee Block

• And Just in case you thought AFMC’s acheivements were restricted only to the medical field,here’s proof to the contrary…

• I’m sure there are many more but I’ve included the two most recent examples here

Ambika Nautiyal(T2) became the first lady and the first doctor ever to lead the Naval contingent at the Republic Day Parade…A proud moment for all AFMCites

Satyanshu Singh(P2),now into filmmaking post his MBBS,struck gold with his first short film winning the National Film Award for Best Short Film…At last count,it had won more than 10 awards across countries and Film Festivals..**The movie was screened earlier in the day at the Dhanvantari Auditorium,AFMC**
