2 days of training targeting skills for the production of the school magazine ‘Pebble’

Luke Wong talks about his experiences as a

photographer and gives the students some tips

about how to take a quality photograph.

The students went outside to try out their photography skills. Here they are loading their work onto the computers to

share and analyse their work.

The student’s photographs demonstrated many of the techniques and tricks that Luke talked about with them.

Peter Longman talks about how to get the most from an interview and showed the students some examples of both good and poor interviews.http://www.abc.net.au/tv/enoughrope/

The students gave their observations about the interviews that Peter showed them and tested their own interviewing skills.

Louise helps the students develop their skills in writing for audio and video.

The students worked in groups to write the pieces for the reporter and presenter to read on air.

The students showed off their presenting skills as reporters

Louise shows the students some breathing exercises and how to warm up their voices so they can project it better.

It’s pretty funny but we will have a go.

Following Louise’s lead the students corrected their posture and projected their voices while reading.
