Project RequirementsTotal area of the house 1,100 square foot One story homeMaster bedroom with one queen bed ( with access to both

sides of bed) and dresser.Bedroom for a thirteen years old girl.Bedroom for twin eight years old boys with twin beds.All bedrooms have at least one window and one closet.

1: Sustainable Site1a: The landscape is simple and uncluttered to create a

sense of spaciousness.1b: The lawn or ground covering open with minimum

watery plants.1c: Asymmetrical landscaping at the front of the house.1d: Shrubs at the side of the house so that the house will

highlight in front.1e: Tall trees at the back of the house.

2: Water Efficiency2a: Creating a dry pond for storm water collection at the

back of the house and can be used for gardening.2b: Using water tap with low flow of water.2c: Parquet, carpet floorings in the rooms to minimum the

water use during cleaning.2d: Sprinkle used in the garden/lawn.2e: Drought tolerant plant like shrubs and trees over

ornamentals and invasive can be planted which help to save water a lot.

3: Energy and Atmosphere3a: Mechanical HVAC systems for all climate installed in

all rooms.3b: Trees planted in the garden provides cooling in

summer and work as a wind break and warmer insulating during winter.

3c: Windows located at the east and south direction provide sunlight in the room.

3d: Sensor lights used outside the house.3e: Energy Star qualified lights and appliances used.

4: Materials and Resources4a: Kitchen cabinets made of pressed wood.4b: Steels used for framing windows.4c: Counter tops made from recycled glass tiles.4d: Parquet made from bamboo.4e: Certified carpets used in the rooms.

( volatile organic compound) paint.5b: Inter-plants that help to increase indoor air quality.5c: To control noise: sound absorbing materials like eco
