Vocabulary

• What is vocabulary?–words known or used by children or

adults.–can be written or spoken out loud.

• What is a direct object?• Follows an action verb• Can be nouns, pronouns, phrases, or

• How to remember: subject + verb + what or who? = direct object

• What is an indirect object?• noun or pronoun• Comes after an action verb• Answers one of these questions:–To whom?–For whom?–To what?–For what?
