Advanced NDT
Conventional NDT
• Digital Radiography • Phased Array UT • Time of flight diffraction
(TOFD) UT• Medium Range UT (CHIME)• Guided Wave Ultrasonic's
(wavemaker)• Corrosion Mapping • Mapscan• INCOTEST Pulsed Eddy Current • Tube inspection• Tank crawlers• Rope Access
Inspection Engineers• Risk Based Inspection Planning• Inspection Management• Plant Life Assessment• Corrosion, Materials & Metallurgical
Consulting• Fitness for Service• Development of remote access
NDT and video inspectionequipment, including Subsea
• Radiography – in cooperation with local partner for license
• Ultrasonic testing• Eddy Current Inspection• Surface methods (PT, MT)• Slofec Tank Floor Inspection• Slofec pipe scanner• Holiday testing

• Pressure Equipment• Lifting Equipment • Structures
New technologies
Non Destructive Testing – Ultrasonic & Mapscan
• Volumetric inspection • Portable equipment• Couplant• For wall thickness measurements and weld inspection
Capabilities• Reasonably reliable inspection• Probes dependent on the material type and thickness• Suitable for high material thickness.
• Accurate wall thickness measurement on one specific place.
• Manual scanning with a position sensor.• Remaining wall thickness direct visible in color.• Object remains in service.
Capabilities• Accurate inspection of internal corrosion• Local inspection area; 250 x 500 mm• Wall thickness <3mm up to 300mm• Suitable for pipelines, tanks, vessels• Smooth measuring surface• Deployable till 50°C
Non Destructive Testing – ToFD & Incotest
• The weld volume is penetrated by a wide beam of ultrasonic sound, with a separated transmitter and receiver
• By recording the time span (time of flight) between transmitting and receiving the signals, the depth and the height of the defect can be determined.
Capabilities• High scanning speed• Flexible, easy to calibrate• Suitable for wall thickness between 6 mm and 400 mm • Starting from 3” pipe diameter• Suitable for non‐ferrous materials

Mode-convertedsignals
• By using a DC pulse an eddy current is generated in the material.
• The period in which the eddy current is ‘dying’, is a gauge for the wall thickness.
Capabilities• Detecting corrosion and erosion under isolation• Measuring under high temperatures possible• No surface condition treatment or cleaning needed• Subsurface measurements possible.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wA27RFZEizU

Non Destructive Testing - RotoscanRotoscan Automated Ultrasonic Testing Multi probe or Phased Arrayhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Go2xHq_6C0Y
Onshore ProjectsDiameter range 14” up to 60” Production up to 120 welds/day
Off-shore projectsHigh production rate on lay barge Diameter range 2” up to 48”Production up to 350 welds/day (2 shift) with Single weld inspection
Non Destructive Testing - IWEX• Current standard for AUT of girth welds is based on the zonal discrimination concept• Inspection based on pulse‐echo in combination with ToFD• Data display with strip chart view• Sizing based on reference to a calibration reflector• Girth weld inspection with IWEX ultrasonic imaging
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuAz2xf_988
Non Destructive Testing – PIT & Difficult To Inspect
• Trekscan is designed to inspect pipelines which are difficult to inspect (DTI). The Trekscan easily converts operator’s pipelines to “piggable”, saving costs while improving pipeline integrity.
• Inspection based on pulse‐echo in combination with ToFD
• Small radius bends, less than 1.0 D and Back to back bends
• Sizing based on reference to a calibration reflector• Perform full data analysis
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LGOuJ3PYtY
• Wheel driven crawler type of tool • Crawler with umbilical for safe operation and on‐line
control/results• 64 Ultrasonic transducers (or rotating transducer)• Straight forward ultrasonics providing quantitative results• Detection/discrimination of internal and external corrosion • Detection of welds, dents, bends, off‐takes, flanges, mill
defects, high points and other features. • Corrosion mapping
