The Travelling Mabels are a folk/country female trio

from Alberta and were voted ACMA 2011 “Group Of The Year”.

Singularly, each woman can vocally stand alone, but

once you hear their combined harmony blend, you will know why these three women came together.

The beauty of the Mabels is that they represent three

generations of women. This results in a dynamic energy that most audiences would not experience every day.

Their musical influences range from Dolly Parton, The

Eagles, Bob Dylan to Sheryl Crow. Their comedic yet often heart-felt take on life means they more than meet a wide range of audience expectations whenever they perform.

Hailing from Nova Scotia, Dave writes from a sonic menu that includes flavors of Irish, Scottish, French Acadian, folk and country musical styles.

Won 2014 CBC Music and Hockey Night in Canada’s

Song Quest competition with his song, “A Game Goin’ On”.

2012 JUNO Award nominee for his recording ...a tribute

to John Allan Cameron. Winner of two 2011 Canadian Folk Music Awards and

two East Coast Music Awards. Winner of the US Indie International Song Contest

(“Hard Workin’ Hands” co-written with Ron Hynes). Finalist in the Great American Song Contest, the USA

Song Contest, the John Lennon Songwriting Competition and the International Songwriting Contest.

Winner of five East Coast Music Awards and seven

Music Nova Scotia Awards.

Memory Lane gets audiences “dancin’ in the aisles and singin’ along” to all the classics they know and love from artists such as Buddy Holly, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and many more.

This 8-piece band includes some of Saskatchewan’s

finest musicians and is fronted by the Irish-born and now Saskatchewan-based Stephen Maguire.

Kellylee comes from Ontario and her voice is considered one of the most beautiful of her generation.

With her new album opus, I Remember When, she

chooses songs by the likes of Eminem, John Legend and Kanye West, taking her audience into her own unique world of jazz, soul and hip hop while adding a few classics.

A collision of theatre and music hall. His exuberant one-man show is equal parts comic

brilliance, virtuosic vaudeville and irresistible charm. Physical Poet and Verbal Acrobat!

The MacNeil siblings are from Cape Breton Island

and feature multiple lead vocalists, beautiful

harmonies, top drawer instrumental prowess on a

wide variety of acoustic, stringed, percussion and

wind instruments.

The Barra MacNeils won their first East Coast Music Award in 1991 and have won four more since, including an Album of the Year award for Timeframe in 1992 and a Group of the Year award in 2001.

They have been an opening act for Céline Dion and

have toured regularly across North America and

Europe.

To enhance awareness and appreciation of the performing arts in Lloydminster and region through the presentation of a professional series of concerts.

Every October, Lloydminster Concert Series Association attends Alberta Showcase and Saskatchewan Showcase to see, hear and experience artists who are available to tour next season.

When we are at Showcase conferences, we attend workshops on a variety of presenting issues. There are also many opportunities to network with agents and members from other Arts Councils from around both provinces.
