Awesome nature and rural life around the place! I was expecting the place to be quite touristy because its quite well known but somehow did not find it to be so! Clean air, simple lifestyles, bad mobile connectivity, animals and green stuff abound! Large part of credit would have to go to the awesome home stay!

Read more about my madikeri experience here!

The awesome and exotic Namdroling Golden Temple at Bylakuppe Tibetan Village! I walked about 12 kms to this temple from the far gates of Bylakuppe, it was an awesome walk with elderly Tibetan folks smiling at me and greeting me! One of my first blogs about this trip was of this walk!

Near Bylakuppe the Nisargdham at Kushalnagar! It’s a quaint, beautiful place. A picturesque Kaveri river spot, boating, deer enclosement, machaans, jungle-type trails and other interesting stuff!

Every Sunday Mysore palace lighting. Free entry!

Kukurahalli Lake, Mysore! Keep some time when you visit to do a full round around the lake – about 3 km but well worth it!

The super awesome Venugopalswamy Temple behind KRS Dam, Brindavan Gardens Mysore!

Mysore Zoo!

Gomatgiri, outskirts of Mysore! Quite awesome, ideally go with few people and meditate there for a while!

Matluram @ Irrupu Falls, Rameshwara Temple, Coorg!

Nagarhole Jungle Reserve

Misc places…

Coonoor Super crowded and congested looking? Yea! But it grew on me. Can’t explain it but it has a charm… those meandering hill roads, local buses, coniferous trees, small town ambience, green hill views…..

Awesome Kanyakumari with the strong, strong winds! No wonder the world’s largest windfarm is located at Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu!

Also it made me happy to know that a Tamil poet (Thiruvallivur) had been commemorated like this! It creates a very different ambience to have an artist immortalized like this compared to politicians, fighters or even god men!

At the Vivekananda rock! The wind was literally battering my head! Never experienced something like this!!

The Kochi Muziris Biennale 2012! Glad I could see even half a day of it! I managed to blog about it on the day it finally got over!!

That’s All Folks…. Until next time! ;)
