Kia Javanmardian is a Partner at McKinsey & Company. He leads the firm’s global financial services practice. His client work focuses on strategy, operations and organizational issues across insurance carriers, brokers, wealth managers and other financial institutions primarily within the U.S. Kia also helps lead the firm’s thinking on analytics driven businesses, distribution strategy, salesforce effectiveness, and marketing across different parts of the value chain within financial services.

Some recent projects include: developed an analytics driven business unit strategy for a top three insurance broker; lead an agile business transformation within a multi-billion dollar carrier, building a portfolio of digitally enabled products to reinvent/grow the core business; and redefined a top 5five personal lines carrier’s go-to-market strategy leveraging digital, analytics, and consumer driven design thinking.

Kia holds a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Laura.
