Early Intervention supports families of infants and toddlers, ages birth to three years, with developmental delays and disabilities. Children learn best with people they know and in the places they spend most of their time.

The primary role of an Early Intervention provider is to support families to increase their child’s participation in everyday routines and activities. Early Intervention providers use coaching interactions during early intervention visits to help parents develop their abilities to interact with their children in ways that support their child’s learning and development.

As a team, Early Intervention providers and families come up with strategies that families can use within their daily activities to help reach their goals for their child.
