Dear Parents, As the school year ends, I would like to thank all of you who played an important role in making this school year a meaningful one for the children. The combined efforts of our Parent Volunteer Corps, St. Andrew’s Nursery School Board, our Office Staff, and our very dedicated Teaching Staff contributed to a wonderful school year, full of activities in which our children gained important life skills for their future. Our play-based program is a key component for children to acquire a love of learning while building a solid foundation for their future success. You received the NAEYC Family Survey. Please take a few moments to complete and return it to the school office. Your feedback is a very important component of our review and planning process, and it will be given careful and thoughtful consideration. It is also a requirement for our NAEYC accreditation. Please check the school calendar at the end of this newsletter to be informed of all the activities scheduled for this month. On behalf of the St. Andrew’s Nursery School Board and Staff, I wish you and your family a restful and safe summer. Enjoy this special time while making beautiful memories with your children! Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s in our program! Sincerely,

Astrid M. Montes, Director

Safety Concerns... Sneakers or regular rubber-soled tie shoes are the safest for children to wear when playing, both in the classroom

and on the playground. Please, no flip-flops or “Crocks.” We would appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please turn your cell phone ON immediately after you drop your child off at school. There may come a time when

we need to contact you when you are not home. Thank you ! Please supervise your children outside before and after class, in the parking lot and also in the grass. With the windows sometimes open there is a serious threat of injury to children running near them. Please do not leave your child alone in a car, even for a few minutes. If you cannot take your baby or toddler

out of the car in order to come in at dismissal time, then perhaps another parent would be kind enough to bring your preschooler out to you. Just let us know in the office is that is the case. Let’s do all we can to keep EVERY child safe.
