Permanent MonitoringIn the oil and gas industry, wells can have a productive lifespan upwards of 10+ years. During this lifespan, permanent downhole gauges help operators improve their well effi ciency and reservoir recovery by generating timely information so every well operates at peak performance. With a clearer picture of downhole conditions, both historically and in real-time, operators have the knowledge and fl exibility to respond to short-term troubleshooting and long-term asset planning.

PPS27 SystemsThe PPS27 has multiple levels of gauges to choose from starting with silicon-sapphire transducers to quartz hybrid transducers. PPS gauges are a viable solution for diverse applications from low pressure CBM wells to extremely corrosive wells with highpercentage carbon dioxide [CO2] and/or hydrogen sulphide [H2S].

Customers can also choose from single to multi-drop permanent gauge completions with an option of gauge reading tubing pressure or annulus pressure. All of PPS’s state-of-the-art downhole tools incorporate industry leading transducers, innovative electronic components, and an electron beam welded housing design.

The Surface Data Acquisition System (SDAS)is ‘the link’ between the user and the downhole

gauges. Up to sixteen gauges can communicate to the SDAS, where the data is stored in the non-volatile memory. Redundant memory is available. The SDAS can be powered by a local external AC source or optional renewable energy supply, such as solar panels.

PPS SmartWatcher software is used to confi gure the SDAS and download data to a computer via USB port. Customers can also request data from the SDAS using a MODBUS (RS485/232) interface.

Qualifi cation Testing PPS has a standard process for qualifi cation testing of downhole pressure and temperature systems to ensure long-term reliability. Every gauge is calibrated to industry standards. Accurate measurement of static and dynamic well parameters is core to PPS’s quality management.

Integrated ServicesPPS’s ability to design and manufacture every part of the system means the ability to accommodate a huge range of technical requirements.
