3. Turntheinstrumenton.Amessageappearsinthedisplay,asking ifyouwant to load theoperatingsystem.

4. PressENTERtoload,orEXITtocanceltheloadingprocedure. If you press ENTER, wait until theloadingisfinished.When theoperatingsystem is finished loading,amessageappears,askingyou to remove the cardandpressanybutton.Hint:Whendone,deletetheoperatingsystem files, toavoidmicroARRANGERstartstheupgradeprocedureeachtimeitisturnedonwiththesamecardinthedrive.

5. Removethecard,andpressanybutton.

RELOADING THE FACTORY DATAShouldtheinternalmemorycontentgetdamaged,youcan reload theoriginalFactoryData from thebackupcard.SeeRestoreDataonpage141.

2. START UPCONNECTING THE AC POWER ADAPTERConnect the suppliedACpoweradapter to thededicatedsocketontherearoftheinstrument.Then,plugitintoawallsocket.Warning:Useonlythesuppliedadapter,oranadaptersuggestedbyKorg.Otheradaptersmay look similar,buttheymaydamageyourinstrument!

TURNING THE INSTRUMENT ON AND OFFTurningthepoweron Pressthepowerbutton( ) locatedontheupperright

sideofthefrontpanel.Thestartupscreenwillappear in theLCD,andafteratime itwilldisplay themainpage inStylePlaymodeandtheunitwillbereadyforsoundoutput.

Turningthepoweroff Pressthepowerbutton( ) locatedontheupperright

sideofthefrontpaneltoturnoffthepower.Warning:Whenturningthe instrumentoff,alldatacontainedinRAM(avolatilememory,usedforSongediting)willbelost.Onthecontrary,datacontainedintheSSDdisk(anonvolatilememory,usedforFactoryandUserdata)willbepreserved.Note:Never turn off the powerwhile the SD card data isbeingreadorwritten.

ABOUT THE AUTO POWER-OFF FUNCTIONWiththefactorysettings,thisinstrumentwillautomatically poweroff when four hours have passed sinceyou lastplayed the keyboard orused the buttons. The instrument is equipped with two sequencers(Sequencer1andSequencer2),eachwithitsownsetoftransportcontrols. Rewind and Fast Forward commands. If

you use themwhile the Song is in play,theymakeitscrollbackorforward.When pressed once, these buttonsmovethe Song to the previous or followingmeasure.Whenkeptpressed, theymakethe Song scroll continuously, until youreleasethem.

In Jukebox mode (Sequencer 1),keeptheSHIFTbuttonpressed,andpressthesebuttons to scroll to thepreviousornextSongintheJukeboxlist(seePage9Jukeboxonpage79).

PAUSE Pauses the Song at the current position.Press PAUSE or PLAY/STOP to start theSongplayingagain.

SELECTING A PERFORMANCEAPerformanceisasetofProgramsandsettingsfortheKeyboardandStyle tracks, thatmakesselectingcomplexcombinationslivefastandeasy.WhentheSTYLECHANGELED ison,aPerformance canalso selectadifferentStyle.ItisalwaysadvisabletousePerformances,ratherthansingle Programs, when playing even a solo sound,since a Performance lets you select the right effects,transposition, plus many other parameters, togetherwiththePrograms.

Other performance parameters are saved in theGlobal.

1. Press the PERFORM button. This changes thePROGRAM/PERFORMANCE section into a Performanceselector.

2. Use the leftmost button of the PROGRAM/PERFORMANCEsection toselect the firstrowof tenbanks(110,upperLEDturnedon),orthesecondrowoftenbanks(1120,lowerLEDturnedon).

3. Press one of the 10 buttons to select the PROGRAM/PERFORMANCEbankcontainingthePerformanceyouarelookingfor.

The Performance Select window appears. Thereare8Performancesforeachbank.
