A Floating Post Office

• India’s first floating Post office was on Dal Lake in Srinagar

• It was inaugurated by  Minister of State for Communications & IT, Sachin Pilot & Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir Omar Abdullah on 22 August 2011

• India has the largest postal network in the world with over 1,55,015 post offices
