Abergavenny has a history which goes back to the Roman settlement of 58 AD and is surrounded by a truly awe-inspiring landscape.

An inspiration to poets, princes, engineers and entrepreneurs alike, Coed Y Brenin boasts the rugged Black Mountains that include the famous Blorenge hill that overlooks the picturesque River Usk, and the National Trust owned Sugar Loaf mountain, together with the historic Offas Dyke amongst its mesmerising attractions.

Abergavenny railway station is less than 2.5 miles from Coed Y Brenin, where regular services can get you to London Paddington in around 2 hours and 40 minutes. The station also provides connections to major centres such as Newport, Swansea, Cardiff and Bristol.

How to find Coed Y BreninFrom South

From the A449 (South Wales to Monmouth) turn onto the A40 signposted Abergavenny, then follow signs to town centre. Follow road through the centre to a set of traffic lights and proceed straight on following the Old Hereford Road. The site can be found on the right approximately 2 miles from these lights.

From North

A449 (Monmouth to South Wales) turn onto the A40 signposted Abergavenny, then follow signs to town centre. Follow road through the centre to a set of traffic lights and proceed straight on following the Old Hereford Road. The site can be found on the right approximately 2 miles from these lights.

From West

Follow A465 (Heads of Valley road). As you approach Abergavenny, fork left into town, passing Waitrose on your right. Turn left at the roundabout, left at the next roundabout and right at the next roundabout. Follow road until you get to traffic lights, then turn left.
