Feed/care for livestock in Feedlot envi-ronment, loading/unloading/shipping of cattle. Check physical characteristics of livestock, observe general condition of livestock, ex-amine animals to detect illness/injury/disease, ap-ply medications/vaccines, mix feed/additives; place mineral blocks, operate farm equipment, herd livestock into corrals/pastures; sort and confine livestock in stalls, clean/disinfect live-stock corrals/stalls/sheds. Pull weeds in pinto bean fields. Operate farm equip-ment for planting/harvesting hay; flood irrigate fields set up/move dams, setup/maintain/operate irrigation pivots, oversee operation of irrigation pumps; hoist/stack bales of hay onto wagon/truck, repair, replace/build barbed wire fence; pick rocks, general cleanup, load/unload semi-trucks. Must be willing to perform tasks capably and efficiently without close supervision. The job entails working split shifts and odd hours; work-ing outdoors in all types of weather; and occasional exposure to herding haz-ards such as cattle stam-pedes, poisonous snakes and predators. Worker must crouch, bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds. A minimum of 3 month’s experience is required. Employer guaran-tees the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to ¾’s work time specified in regulation 20 CFR 655.122. Trans-portation and subsistence expenses to worksite will be paid by employer upon completion of 50% contract. Work tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided at no cost to the worker.
