Hi Folks,

Good morning to you! I hope this week’s Messenger finds you well. On this

Monday morning I am reminded of how special it is in life to enjoy the sunshine after a storm. Looking outside my study window I see nothing but blue skies this morning! Last night for a brief time, we had a violent storm at our house.

I know of some storms that are blowing in some of your lives. Some of those reading this have been through the storm and are just now beginning to enjoy some blue skies in your life!

That causes me to think of the scriptural admonition, “we are to weep with those that weep and rejoice with those that rejoice”. In a church our size, that is a constant undertaking on our part as the body of Christ.

That’s the beauty and glory of the Church! Some days we are the ones being prayed for, tended to, and lifted up. Other days we are the ones seeking to help and stand by those in need. In every situation, the church, representing the Love of Christ, becomes a tool in the hands of the Lord offering peace in the midst of someone’s storm!

We do this by standing on God’s word, believing in His promises and living in His Spirit! Here is what Isaiah prophesied for us:

Isaiah 55:11-13 (KJV) “11. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 12. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off. “

The God we serve is A God that brings Joy in the Morning and offers beauty for ashes! He is the One we represent and His message of healing is the one we share! Be encouraged! He is still on the Throne!
