Our family is fine and we are very exci ted about theprogress of the work in San German s most of you know w have been tryingto ra i se funds for a piece o f p ro perty tha t costs 11,500 on which we wil lbuild a building. s ta r ted ra is ing those funds about four months ago andw have appealed to you and many churches in the Midwest to help. Praise thLord fo r His f a i t h fu lne s s now have a l l bu t 1200 and we hope to have thawithin the next month. have j u s t been th r i l l ed a t the response from youand ou r s uppo r t i ng chu r ches .One of the great lessons tha t we have learned is tha t i f we don' t askthe Lord to provide, we are not going to receive The Puerto Ricans have given as they have never giv en before and we a l l have grown to gethe r in ourf a i t h . Our next b ig p ro j ec t i s to s t a r t ra i s ing money to bu i ld a two s torybuilding tha t wil l be 40' x 70' and tha t we hope wil l cost about 30,000. Iam hoping to ra i se 1/2 of tha t amount from the churches in the States and tho ther ha l f wi l l come from the people here . I wi l l be leaving next Friday , Ma16, to v i s i t some of our support ing churches and a couple of new churchest h a t a re i n t e r e s t e d in ou r work . I w i l l a l so have a boo th a t th e Nor th Ameri can Chr i s t i an Convention in Ind ianapo l i s in Ju ly . Please be pray ing fo r meand a l so f o r Suzanne and th e girls a s I am away.Two of the men in th e church, Andres Cruz and Jun io r Curet wi l l be incharge while I am gone. They both are preaching and teaching and are a rea lblessing along with the i r famil ies. Andres is a computer technician and Juniowns a radio repair shop. are hoping to have the i r o rd inat ion se rv i ce thef i r s t Sunday in our new bui ld ing . Lord wi l l ing . a re hoping to s t a r t cons t r u c t i o n i n Oc tobe r and be f i n i s h e d by May o f n e x t y ea r . We a re ve ry conf i d e n t t h a t th e Lord w i l l p rov id e th e funds t h a t a re ne c e s s a r y .We have had a l o t o f a c t i v i t i e s s i n c e we l a s t wro te . The annua l Women'sRe t r e a t was in March and th e l a d i e s had a w on derfu l t im e t o g e t h e r and we mensurvived taking care of the kids fo r the week-end One of our l ad ies gave aworkshop tha t was a b les sin g fo r a l l . Yvonne Cruz presented a workshop on Suday School ideas. She has been a High School teach er fo r 13 years and hasbeen one of the bes t Sunday School teachers that I have seen. She wil l alsobe h e l p i n g this summer i n camp.

Alice owns one of the l a r ge r f l o r i s t shops in t h iarea and has been wi tn es si ng a lr eady to her c l ien ts in her shop The churchhere has been blessed with good contacts in the community and severa l peoplehave been conve r t ed t h a t a re w ell known in San German which g ive s a l o t o fc red ib i l i t y to our church. Since most of the people in San German have nevehea r d o f th e Churches o f C h r i s t o r th e C h r i s t i a n Church o u r credibility

piece of property that cost us 11,500. e made the down payment inFebruary and the Lord blessed us th rough your help and we have beenable to pay a ll but 1500, which will be paid in the next 90 days.^ We^are now trying to raise 15,000 to begin construction of a30 X 70' two-storied church building. e need your help in these twow a y s :

1, e need 150 people or churches to give a one-time gif t ofjust 100 to help us get this building bui l t2. e need each one of you to pray daily that the Lord wil lprovide the funds we need for this much needed building.

I went wi th th e husband o f one o f ou t members to t a l k wi th th e manager twoweeks ago and he assured me t h a t we would have no problem with the loan.Most o f the bus iness done in La t in America i s done with th e help o f af r i e n d o r r e l a t i v e . The bank manager happened to be b e s t o f f r i e n d s wi thou r f r i e nd iso t h a t gave a good con t a c t . We a re hoping to be ab le to begin by th e end o f November bu t it a l ldepends on th e p l ann ing board and how qu ick ly t hey work and t hey a re no tno ted fo r speedy work so we wi l l be pa t i en t Please keep t h i s in yourda i ly praye r s as we r e a l l y need a bu i ld ing to ke ep g rowin g.
