    Resources - How to get the resources you want in Draenor:- Garrisons excluded.

    I have put together a list of all resources I can think of that we may need to know information for to save

    having to look everything up later. Sources are wowhead mainly with a little splatter of random bloggerswho I forgot to write down, sorry. The number after an item or place is the number of sources in thatarea.

    Herbs:

    Talador Orchid - Talador (297) / Spires of Arak (18).

    Nagrand Arrowbloom - Nagrand (90) / Spires of Arak (28).

    Starflower - Spires of Arak (34) / Shadowmoon Valley (10).

    Gorgrond Flytrap - Spires of Arak (27) / Gorgrond (11).

    Meat - As usual, each meat has a chance to drop of its respective animal. I am unsure of the best placesto find these as I haven't been able to see any information online. Best bet is Nagrand.The new meats are:

    Garissons

    The big new feature of WoD garrisons will provide gameplay with many options. But how do you

    maximize effiency? After playing on the beta and reading forums for several hours i think i found a good

    build path for effiency related to raiding and making

    your garrison strong.

    Level 1 garrison provides you with 1 small plot and 1 large plot.

    Now to explain my choices. I went with the salvage yard for my first small plot because as far as i can tell

    it is the best way of gearing your followers and to make them effective doing missions and such.

    First large plot is armory because the chance of getting epics and rare bonus upgrades for missions seem

    like best building to get for levelling. Also at a later point when the raid starts you get a free seal which

    now seem quite expensive (3 seals each week for 3.5k gold) Possibly you want the barracks for your first

    Large plot as it will increase the amount experience your followers get therefore increasing the

    effectiviness of your followers. Also looks like if you get barracks to level 2 your followers will be able tojoin you in your adventures.

    Level 2 garrison provides you with additional 1 small plot and 1 medium plot.

    The second small plot i recommend going with your profession because in WoD you get your profession

    recipes from your garrison nowhere else so you are required to have the garrison building related to your

    profession.

    The first medium plot i go with the lumber mill as from what i have been told garrison resource gathering

    is made trivial from choosing this building.

    Level 3 garrison, which is the last level of the garrison provide a additional 1 small plot, 1 medium plot

    and 1 large plot.

    Same as the second small plot i would go with my second profession as my third building.

    Second medium plot is a easy choice, the barn is what provides you with the best food in the game also

    it allows you to gather materials that is required for crafting ilvl upgrades for epic gear that is crafted

    640ilvl to 665 ilvl. The material is not BoP but will probably be quite expensive at first so either sell it or

    save gold.

    Second large plot choice goes back to what choice you made for your first large plot either build a

    barrack to level your followers or get the armory for cheaper seals and the potential epics from quests.

    Noterworthy is that you can bulldoze buildings and get new one and therefore when you feel you have

    enough garrison resources you should that thinking of demolishing the lumber mill because its only

    function is getting garrison resources. At that point i feel it is between the inn or trading post as which

    building to replace the lumber mill. Trading post will allow you to trade your garrison resources for

    crafing mats and eventually let you have a auction house in your garrison. Inn will allow you to get the

    daily dungeon quest which can provide you with gear(630 blues) and toys as far as i could tell from

    testing it in the beta. The inn also makes it easier to get the exact follower you want(you can deterime

    abilities and traits, abilities sort of required for harder missions and traits for improving you profession

    buildings.)

    There are also other building that in theory would become obsolete after time, like the barracks and the

    salvage yard. After a while i would guess you don't need to get more levels nor gear for your followers

    because they are already maxed. As what building to replace the salvage yard i think it is a matter of if

    you want a bank in your garrison or do you want to be able to get the weapon enchant transmogs or do

    you wanna be able to craft your own pots and such nothing really that is better then the other one.

    The large plot that becomes available is more interesting though either you get stables which allows you

    get some unique mounts and improves your ability to mount in Draenor or you get the ogre wayshrine

    which from what i have heard allows you to get portals close to the raids and because rip flying thoose

    portals can be quite useful (also heard you can invite other people into your garrison and they can use

    your portals potentially only 1 person in the raid need the ogre wayshrines)

    The thing with Garrisions is that they are very personal. They depend on what you want out of the game

    and how you play, over how many alts etc. To say this is what you must do to get the most out of it is

    somewhat misleading. For example; the choices I would make on my raider and main who I play a lot

    and who I will be completing achievements on etc is very different from an alt I want to log in and make

    money from, the same with my gatherer who will be going out but doesnt need good followers etc.

    In deciding your garrison set up you need to look at;

    The characters you will be playing, how many and what are their professions?

    How much time will you be playing on them each day/week?

    Do you want to make a lot of money from your garrison?

    Would you like to be more self sufficient and rely less on the AH?Do you want to craft your own gear to raid with or are you happy to buy from AH?

    Are you really into transmog and want a new cool set?

    Do you want to work towards pvp titles and monuments etc?

    Do you want to unlock the account wide rep bonus?

    Do you want to collect the toys for the toy box?

    Like I said, its all very personal. But I'm glad you have decided how you want to do yours Omak Also

    you don't need to worry about having to drop 3.5K on seals, you can trade one for gold, one for honor

    and one for shards if you prefer

    For people who are still undecided I have pasted in some of the spreadsheet I made on Garrisons. (Yes, I

    am that geeky!) Ive made a list of the buildings and the main perks/provisons the give; The note next to

    the title of the building lists things the can't do if its not a primary profession. E.g. my priest doesn't have

    tailoring so her small tailor building can't craft the upgrade patch.

    Small - Choose 3 of these

    Alchemy Lab Free potions daily / Can't craft best flasks unless primary proff

    1 Production of alchemy items & work orders

    2 Assign followers

    3 20 work orders total & now craft flasks

    Enchanting Can't make weapon enchants, cant create Temporal Crystal

    1 Produce enchanting items & allows for DE

    2 Assign follower & transmog enchants

    3 20 work orders

    Engineering Cant make epic armour upgrades, blingatron 5000 or wormhole

    1 Create gadgets, pets, scopes etc

    2 Assign a follower & create unique items

    1 Trading of Craft materials

    2 Access to auction house and Laughing Skull factions

    3 Increases reputation gain in Draenor by 20% (account wide)

    Barn *Unlocks after completing 25 work orders

    1 Capture clefthoof, elkk, wolves and talbuk

    2 Capture board & riverbeasts

    3 Capture elite beasts and harvest for savage blood (epic item crafting mat)

    Large - Choose 2 of theseAutomatically get barracks - follower bodyguard trait.

    Stables

    1 Enables capture of special mounts on draenor

    2 Remain mounted and interact with objects outside.

    3 Increased mount speed by 20%

    Bunker

    1 Double chance of better non-raid drop loot

    2 Work order for follower upgrades

    3 1 of 3 bonus roll seals

    Magetower

    1 Collect waystones to power waygates

    2 Unlocks access to 2nd gate

    3 Unlocks access to3rd gate

    Gnomish Gearworks

    1 Personal Engineer to provide use of a powerful invention for you for the day. (Your choice 1 of 5 each

    day)

    2 Access to 5 new devices

    3 Creation of a siege vehicle once per day once you have used each device once.

    Outpost Buildings

    Garrison Outposts do not work like your Garrison hub--you cannot construct and level up additional

    buildings there. What you do get are special zone-wide perks and questchains that reward followers and

    currency to buy higher-level Garrison blueprints.

    You can have similar types of buildings in your garrison and as an outpost. E.g. Lunber Yard and Lumber

    Mill, Gladiator Sanctum and Sparring Arena

    They are not related to Garrison functioning.

    Gorgrond

    Sparring Arena: Gain a zone wide buff for Gorgrond allowing you to summon a random champion to fight

    with you for 1 minute, more mobs = better buff he gives you which lasts 5 minutes.

    Lumber Yard: Allows for a Mechashredder 5000 to be summoned which helps you fight mobs and but

    trees / vines around treasures.

    Talador

    Arcane Sanctum: Quests in Zangarra with Khadgar, rewards a Magister follower. Zone wide perk: allows

    you to summon a Guardian Orb; approx 10K damage in 15 yrds, ever 2 secs for 30secs.

    Arsenal: Zone wide perk of Artillery Strike, ordering your armoury to fire 3 volleys over 3 secs healing

    100K dmge to all enemies. 3 charges. Also rewards a follower.

    Spires of Arak

    Smuggling run: Trading post themes building. Once every 10 mins you can summon a vendor who has a

    chance to sell interesting wares. E.g. lvl 99 follower, bloodmane charm toy to transofrm you into

    Bloodmane Saberon, an eyepiece to do the jumping treasure puzzles, 28 slot bag, garison resources andspires only consumables for buffs.

    Brewery:Inn-themed per gives you a HS for Spires and a 20% boosted exp in Spires.

    Nagrand

    Tankworks: You can summon a Siege Engine with the usual; volley, flame vents, rain of death etc

    Corral: Summon a Frostwolf War Wolf. This can be ridden while in combat / interacting.

    1. Basics

    What the Hell is a Garrison?!

    A garrison is your very own piece of land. It's a foothold on Draenor that

    serves as your main base of operations! It provides you with everything a

    standard quest hub would provide (except quests) and much much more. It is

    presented to all characters at level 90, and it's completely unavoidable. So

    what's the point?

    Why you NEED the Garrison:

    - to level up ofc, a lot of major quest lines are phased and will not be

    available to those who haven't set up a Garrison

    - to gain access to Ashran the new world pvp zone (mage portal is only

    alternative)

    - to start the Legendary quest line at 100

    - to collectApexis Crystalswhich act as currency for gear and items gained

    from WoD factions

    Do note all that I just mentioned can be done from a lvl 1 garrison. If you

    hate and don't want to deal with Garrisons you can just complete the

    introduction and forget about it.

    What BENEFITS does a Garrison provide:

    - access to a mine and herb garden that will spawn random Draenor minerals

    / herbs each day for you to harvest (no profession required to gather them )- access to a fishing hut and pet menagerie that offer daily quests

    - access to a large arsenal of buildings that provide a special bonus to you

    - access to profession buildings that provide you with the ability to make

    selected crafts from a specific profession ( all professions, not only the 2 you

    got )

    - most buildings provide work orders, which can be used to trade materials

    for other things ( details for each building later )

    - followers, or and army of them, that can run missions for you and reward

    you all kinds of stuff ( even raid gear )

    The garrison itself has 3 levels, each increasing the size, number of plots forbuilding, and the appearance of the whole base.

    2. The Buildings

    The core of each base are it's buildings, and your garrison is no different.

    Players will have a lot of buildings to choose from, as garrisons support only a

    fixed amount (you can replace a building at any time with another tho).

    Based on the level of you garrison you will have the following amount of plots

    available:

    Garrison lvl 1: 1 small + 1 big

    Garrison lvl 2: 2 small + 1 big + 1 medium + bonus buildings

    Garrison lvl 3: 3 small + 2 big + 2 medium

    Do note that the above amounts are totals, not additional plots you get with

    the upgrade.

    2.1 Small Buildings

    All of the Small Buildings (excluding the Salvage Yard and Storehouse) have

    the following in common:-At level 2 they you can assign a follower with the specific profession trait to

    work at that profession building

    -Each profession building allows production of that professions Draenor items

    -Each profession building provides additional stuff to characters with that

    profession

    -Work orders: 7, 14, 21 (by level respectively). Each work order takes 4

    hours to complete

    -All Level 3 blueprints are purchasable onceWork More Ordersis complete

    (excluding salvage yard and storehouse)

    -Construction costs: 150g and 50GR (lvl 1); 300g and 100GR (lvl 2), 500g

    and 300GR (lvl 3)

    -You may have a maximum of 3 Small Buildings at any time. Each garrison

    level adds 1 more plot.

    a currency for said Draenor recipes (1 for jewelry/regular gems/stat reroll

    item, 3 for toys, 5 for greater gems, 15 for item upgrade similar to

    engineering one)

    Gladiator's Sanctum

    Level 1: Increases your out-of-combat regeneration in outdoor Draenor zones

    (3% hp/mana per sec) and allows the collection ofBroken Bonesfrom

    defeated enemy players (used forConqueror's Tribute). Every player you kill

    will drop 3-6Broken Bones.It is yet unknown what theConqueror's

    Tributewill be used for. Also provides you with a questWarlord of

    Draenorwhich requires 50Broken Bonesand rewards 50GR.

    Level 2: Enables safe fall and unlimited underwater breathing in outdoor

    Draenor zones. Also enables the Nemesis quest series for defeating enemy

    players of specific races. The Nemesis quests require you to kill 500 players of

    a specific race (there's one quest for each enemy race). Each quest rewards

    you with a title! All the obtainable titles can be foundhere.Completing all the

    Nemesis quests will reward you the achievementWarlord of Draenor,which

    gives the same title.

    Level 3: While below 35% life, all damage taken is reduced by 50% in

    outdoor Draenor zones. Grants access to the Highmaul Coliseum gladiatortournament. The Highmaul Coliseum is a free-for-all PvP event (an arena in

    which you fight to the last, death disqualifies you). The winner will get the

    achievementThe Last of Uswhich awards the title Lord / Lady of War. The

    winner also getsWarlord's Flag of Victorywhich allows them to impale a dead

    player with a flag!

    2.3 Large Buildings

    All of the Large Buildings have the following in common:

    complete a quest, the item rewarded has a chance to become better, this

    building doubles the chance. It also allows orc NPCs in the world to dropIron

    acquire 25 of them, you can complete the questOgre Waygatesby clicking on

    the desired gate in the world. This will then make a one way portal from your

    2.5 Blueprints

    Blueprints are needed for you to construct and upgrade buildings. These are

    purchased from a blueprint vendor in your garrison. Some require a conditionto be met before you can buy them.

    Level 1 BlueprintsAll of these are learned once your Garrison reaches lvl 2

    (note that the salvage yard and bonus buildings are unlocked at specific

    level).

    Level 2 BlueprintsAll of these become purchasable you met a specific

    condition. Special mention are the bonus buildings for your alts. If you got a

    lvl 100 all your alts will be able to purchase lvl 2 blueprints for bonus

    buildings the moment they create those buildings. All level 2 blueprints have

    a cost:-small buildings cost 750g and require lvl 96 or Talador zone completed

    -medium and bonus buildings cost 1000g and require lvl 98 or Spires of Arak

    zone completed

    -large buildings cost 1500g and require lvl 100 or Nagrand zone completed

    Level 3 BlueprintsThese become available on level 100. Each requires a

    specific achievement to be completed in order to purchase them. Do note that

    once you complete the achievement all your alts will only need to get to lvl

    100 and not complete it again. All lvl 3 blueprints cost 1000g.

    Another interesting thing are books, acquired at the end of each zone storyline, that can be traded for some lvl 2 blueprints at Ashran.

    3. Build Orders

    Build Orders present a strategy how to construct the Garrison. Depending onthe Garrison's level and it's intended purpose, there are specific buildings that

    have proven to be the best for specific types of players. There are so many

    buildings to choose from, and yet you may have but a few built.

    3.1 Build Order for Leveling

    This guide will suggest the best possible buildings for your Garrison during the

    Leveling phase.. It will include the first 2 levels of your Garrison. As you level

    up, some quest will award you with an item that can be exchanged for level 2

    blueprints in Ashran, these items areOutpost Building Assembly Notes(small

    and medium buildings) andComprehensive Outpost Construction Guide(large

    buildings). These are awarded at the end of one major quest line in each zone(excluding starting zones).

    Garrison Level 1

    Small: Build an Enchanter's Study. It will allow you to Disenchant all gear that

    you get from questing.

    Large: Build the Barracks. It will enable additional missions for your followers,

    providing you with more gold /GR and them with additional exp so they can

    keep up with you. You will build this building via the fist quests you get when

    you make a garrison, and you won't really have anything else to choose from

    at this point.

    Garrison Level 2

    Small: Your 2nd small building should be the Salvage Yard, that can be

    acquired at level 96. It will allow you to collect Salvage from missions. Do not

    open these till you upgrade the Salvage Yard to level 2 (that is when they can

    drop useful loot)! If you are a slow leveler and getting to 96 would take you

    more then a day, build a profession building till then (make sure to have the

    said profession).

    Medium: Make a Lumber Mill. It allows you to collect Timber from trees that

    you come across as you level up. Timber can be converted to GR via work

    orders at the Lumber Mill.

    3.2 Build Order for Raiding

    This guide will suggest the best possible buildings for your Garrison,

    specifically intended toward a Raider. This guide is for a level 3 garrison,

    attained once level 100 is reached. For any lower level garrison, please refer

    to the Build Order for Leveling guide above.

    and raid missions which can award you with gear. Raid missions specifically

    award you with items that are from a raid difficulty higher then the one you

    are running (one difficulty above current, if you're raiding Mythic you will also

    get 1000 gold).

    2 Profession Buildings. Choose the ones that match your professions.

    Medium:

    Trading Post. Allows you to trade GR for any materials, so you can make

    consumables. It also allows you to trade random materials each day for GR

    via work orders.

    Lumber Mill. Keeps you well supplied with GR. Do note that Barn is better if

    you have already unlocked the lvl 3 blueprints.

    Large:

    The Barracks. Increases follower limit to 25, allowing more missions at once.

    Bunker. Can help gear up followers via work orders. Provides you with a freeSeal of Tempered Fate each week (bonus roll).

    3.3 Build Order for Gold Making

    This guide will suggest the best possible buildings for your Garrison,

    specifically intended toward gold making. This guide is for a level 3 garrison,

    attained once level 100 is reached. For any lower level garrison, please refer

    to the Build Order for Leveling guide above. This guide will focus on your

    MAIN character. If you have ALTS that you plan on using for gold making, use

    this guide for your MAIN and the Altoholic guide below for ALTS.

    Small:Salvage Yard. Allows you to gear up you followers so they can run dungeon

    and raid missions which can award you with gear. Most missions reward gold

    or GR. The harder the mission, the better the reward.

    2 Profession Buildings. Choose the ones that match your professions.

    Medium:

    specifically intended toward those whom have and love their alts (altoholics).

    This guide is for a level 3 garrison, attained once level 100 is reached. For any

    lower level garrison, please refer to the Leveling guide. This guide will focus

    on your ALTS. If you have a MAIN, use either the Gold Making or Raider guide

    for your MAIN. Alts will be split into 2 types: alts used for gold making; Raideralts. If you have alts that you wanna raid with use the Raider guide for them.

    ALTS USED FOR GOLD MAKING

    Small:

    Salvage Yard. Allows you to gear up you followers so they can run dungeon

    and raid missions which can award you with gear. Most missions reward gold

    or GR. The harder the mission, the better the reward.

    2 Profession Buildings. Choose the ones that match your professions. Make

    sure your alts have different professions and abuse this.

    Medium:

    Trading Post. Allows you to trade GR for any materials, these can then be

    sold. Also gives you a Auction House in your garrison.

    Lumber Mill / Barn. Build different one on each alt. Both require around the

    same time investment. Lumber Mill lets you gather Timber to trade for GR via

    work order, and then trade that GR for any material at the Trading Post. Barn

    allows collection of Savage Blood used to craft all epics, some of which you

    can sell. It might be a good idea to start with a Barn at 100 on a few alts to

    quickly unlock the lvl 3 blueprints.

    Large:The Barracks. Increases follower limit to 25, allowing more missions at once.

    Mage Tower / Stables. Both can reduce travel time around Draenor, allowing

    you to get to your farming spots quicker. Choose based on personal

    preference.

    Abuse your Bonus buildings on as many alts as possible. This will supply you

    with HUGE amounts of ore and herbs for free.

    4. Outposts

    Outposts are small bases across Draenor. You may have one in each zone,

    excluding the starting zones (Frostfire Ridge and Shadowmoon Valley).

    Once you arrive to a zone for the first time (at the appropriate level) you will

    be able to build an outpost. Each outpost will offer you a choice of 2 buildings

    and you may only have one. You can tho switch the buildings at any time.

    Doing so cost 10000 gold. The outpost will be available to you either the

    moment you reach a new zone, or after a short introduction quest line.

    Gorgrond Outpost

    The outpost in Gorgrond is unlockable at level 92. You will be able to start thequestThe Secrets of Gorgrondin your garrison. This will then lead you into a

    small quest chain once you arrive. The last qu
