1 Belief in the Last Day

1.1 Part of Eeman • No one is a believer without belief in this pillar.

o Sahih International: And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O

Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are

certain [in faith]. [ Surah Baqarah, 2 : Ayat 4 ]

o Sahih International: Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they

are certain [in faith]. [ Surah An-Nami, 27 : Ayat 3 ]

• Allah enjoins belief in Him with the belief in the Last Day

o Sahih International: Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or

the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the

angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to

relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing

slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise

when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during

battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.

[ Surah Al-Baqarah, 2 : Ayat 177 ]

1.2 Scope of this Belief 1. Belief that there will be another life after this one
