What Does It Mean?

ACES WILD: Subtract full handicap from gross score, then

BEAT THE CLUB CHAMPION: Individual net score against

the Champion’s net score.

BEST 9 OF 18 HOLES: Total of best 9 holes, less ½

handicap.

BETTER NINE: Use lower score of either front or back nine,

less ½ handicap.

BLIND DRAW: 9 holes are drawn, placed in an envelope

and opened by 1st group in.

CHAPMAN: 2 person teams. Each player drives. For the

second shot, each player hits each other’s ball. After both

players have hit a 2nd shot, they select one ball to take turns

until ball is holed out. Net score by using ½ the team’s

combined handicaps.

CRIES: Revert 3 worst holes back to par, less full handicap.

CRISS-CROSS: Choose best 9 holes using holes 1 or 10, 2

FRONT NINE: Total of front nine holes, less ½ handicap.

HARDEST HOLES: Count score on the hardest stroke

When keeping score, mark down your actual score on those

three holes for posting purposes. For the game, total your

score, reverting those three holes to par or better, subtract

full handicap.

LOW GROSS: Total of 18 holes – no handicap.

Accidental Movement of a Ball on a Putting Green: (1-3-17) Rules 18-2, 18-3 and 20-1 are modified as follows:

When a player’s ball lies on the putting green, there is no

penalty if the ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved by the

player, his partner, his opponent, or any of their caddies or

equipment.

The moved ball or ball-marker must be replaced as provided in

Rules 18-2, 18-3 and 20-1.

This Local Rule applies only when the player’s ball or ball-

marker lies on the putting green and any movement is

accidental.

green was moved as a result of wind, water or some other

natural cause such as the effects of gravity, the ball must be

played as it lies from its new location. A ball-marker moved in

such circumstances is replaced.

Weekly Rules Beginning with the 2015/2016 season, sign-up for play will be on the GHIN website exclusively. Each Week’s designated format will be specified on the GHIN website. Each member’s current handicap index number will be used to establish her weekly tournament handicap. Check in at the Pro Shop at least 20 minutes prior to the designated tee time.

If you cannot play in the Tuesday play day after signing up, please call: Jan Keck – 702.419.5777

Scorekeeping New Members should start posting immediately when they have their member number. When playing an away game, post your score on that course’s computer.

Weekly regular tournament scores are to be posted as non-tournament scores.

During any round, a player may pick up the ball and X-out the hole. If the X-ed out hole is not part of the game of the day, that player will not be disqualified. If you X-out of a hole that DQ’s you from game of the day – write a big “DQ” on your card so you are not mistakenly considered.

Each member is to post her score each time she plays 13 holes or more. Players must take net par on holes not played, plus whatever handicap strokes she is entitled to on each hole.

Please post your score on the day that you play.

Slow Play

Our goal is 4 to 4 ½ hours of playing time for and 18 hole round. Stay up with the group in front of you. Ready golf on all the tee boxes.

Page 9: WOMEN’S GOLF CLUB - United States Golf Association€™S GOLF CLUB ... Christmas Party December 13 ... ACES WILD: Subtract full handicap from gross score, ...
