ما الحكمة من كثرة زواج الرسول؟ ماذا ستجیب؟

Why did the Prophet Mohammad have many

wives

إذا جاءك أحد وسألك بنیة غیر سلیمة وفهمت منها نیة اإلحراج والتشكیك في نوایا الرسول -صلى اهللا علیه

وسلم - من تعدد زواجه....فهل تعرف اإلجابة؟

If someone asks you that question, either in a good or in a bad intention, will you

?be able to answer

إلیكم الجواب, وهو عبارة عن محاضرة ألقاها األستاذ عمرو خالد منذ فترة عن أمهات المؤمنین،

لخصتها لكم بما یأتي:

Here is the answer, as given in a lecture by Amro Khalid

about the Mothers of the believers ( the Prophet’s

( wives

أوال : لنتساءل بدایة كم هن عدد زوجات الرسول - صلى اهللا علیه وسلم - ؟

Let’s first ask ourselves, how many wives did the

?Prophet had

عددهن 12 زوجة . والرسول - علیه الصالة والسالم - توفي وعنده عشر زوجات ، حیث توفیت في حیاته

السیدة خد یجة والسیدة زینب بنت خزیمة ...رضي اهللا عنهما

They were twelve. When he died there were ten wives with him, while Khadija

and Zaynab died in his life

ثانیا: هل تحفظون إخوتي أسماء أمهاتكم ...أمهات المؤمنین ...؟؟

But do you know their names, the names of your mothers, the mothers of the

?believers

عفى اهللا عني وعنكم سنذكر اآلن أسماء الزوجات :

خدیجة بنت خویلدسودة بنت زمعة

عائشة بنت ابي بكر حفصة بنت عمر زینب بنت خزیمة

أم سلمة هند بنت عتبةزینب بنت جحش

جویریة بنت الحارثصفیة بنت حیي بن أخطب

أم حبیبة رملة بنت ابي سفیانماریا بنت شمعون المصریة

میمونة بنت الحارث

They are:

They are:Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid

Sawdah Bint ZamaahAaishah Bint Abi Bakr

Hafsah Bint OmarZainab Bint Khuzaymah

Om-salamah , Hind Bint OtbahZainab Bint Jahsh

Juwayriyah Bint AlharithSafiyah Bint Huyay Ibn Akhtab

Ommo Habibah Ramlah Bint Abi SofianMaria Bint Shamoun, the Egyptian

Maymonah Bint Alharith

لنسأل السؤال التالي بعد ذكر أسماء زوجاته علیه الصالة والسالم :

كم واحدة بكر وكم واحدة كانت متزوجة من قبل؟

Did the Prophet’s (pbuh) wives married someone for the first time (i.e. were they

?(all virgins

واحدة بكر وهي السیدة عائشة -رضي اهللا عنها - والباقي ثیبات

Only one, Aaishah, all the rest were either widows or

.divorced

هل كن عربیات؟

?Were they all Arabs

كلهن عربیات باستثناء السیدة (ماریا )فقد كانت من خار ج الجزیرة العربیة وكانت من ارض مصر

All, except for Mariya, who.was from Egypt

هل كن مسلمات كلهن؟

?Where they all Muslims

نعم إال اثنتین : السیدة صفیة كانت یهودیة والسیدة ماریا كانت مسیحیة , رضي اهللا عنهن جمیعا

All but two; Safiya who was a Jew , and Mariya .who was a Christian

واآلن .. لنجیب على السؤال التالي :هل كان سبب تعدد الزواج من قبل الرسول - صلى اهللا علیه

وسلم - شهوة؟

Now, let’s answer the main and very important

question: Was it lust that caused the prophet to have

?so many marriages

إذا تأملنا مراحل حیاة الرسول - صلى اهللا علیه وسلم - الزوجیة نجد أن الشهوة اختفت من حیاته والدلیل عقلي هذه المرة,لنتأمل:

1.الرسول - صلى اهللا علیه وسلم - منذ نشأته و حتى سن 25 كان أعزبا

2.الرسول - صلى اهللا علیه وسلم من سن 25 إلى 50 (وهي فورة الشباب) متزوج سیدة أكبر منه ب15 سنة ومتزوجة من قبله

برجلین ولها اوالد3.الرسول - صلى اهللا علیه وسلم - من سن 50 إلى 52 سنة من

غیر زواج حزنا ووفاء لزوجته األولى4.الرسول - صلى اهللا علیه وسلم - من سن 52 إلى 60تزوج عدة زوجات ألسباب سیاسیة ودینیة واجتماعیة سنأتي على تفصیلها

فیما بعد

To answer the question we have to mention the following

:facts

The Prophet married for 1- the first time when he was .25 years old

The first woman he married , 2- Khadijah was 40 years old already married twice before him and had children. He stayed married to her alone for 25 years, until she died. He stayed single after her death for two years in grief and mourning over her.death. He was then 52 years old

From 52 till 60, he married 3- several times for political and social reasons, not for lust.…((Naooz Billah After two years of living single , he married Sawdah, an 80 year old widow in order to honor her because she was the first widow in Islam. Not an act of a lustful man after a period of living.single

إذا ..، هل من المعقول أن الشهوة ظهرت فجأة من سن 52 سنة؟

It’s not logical to say that lust had appeared suddenly at the

Prophet’s life at 52, and at the middle of the fierce physical and psychological struggle to

spread Islam

وهل من المعقول للرجل المحب للزواج أن یتزوج في فورة شبابه من ثیب تزوجت مرتین قبله ویمكث

معها 25 سنة من غیر أن یتزوج بغیرها ثم یمكث سنتین من غیر زواج وفاء وتكریما لها!

ثم إنه علیه الصالة والسالم عند زواجه بعد السیدة خدیجة تزوج السیدة سودة وكان عمرها (80) سنة

حیث كانت اول أرملة في اإلسالم - واراد علیه الصالة والسالم أن یكرمها ویكرم النساء اللواتي مثلها حیث ابتدأ بنفسه ولم یأمر صحابته بزواجها بل هو علیه الصالة والسالم قام بتكریمها بنفسه

لیكون هذا العمل اإلنساني قدوة من بعده

بعد ما قلناه نخلص إلى النتیجة التالیة :الرسول -صلى اهللا علیه وسلم - تزوج بطریقتین:

محمد الرجل )تزوج بالسیدة خدیجة(1.

There is only one conclusion we can محمد الرسول )تزوج باقي نسوته(2.:extract from the above

Mohammad the man married 1-Khadijah

Mohammad the Prophet married 2- .the rest of his wives

ولنسأل السؤال التالي : هل الرسول محمد - صلى اهللا علیه وسلم - هو الوحید

الذي عدد أم أن هنالك انبیاء عددوا أیضا؟ But , was Mohammad the

only Prophet to have multiple wives? Or

polygamy was taken by?other Prophets as well

الجواب نعم ....لقد عدد المرسلون واألنبیاء - صلى اهللا علیه وسلم كسیدنا إبراهیم وسیدنا داود وسلیمان -

صلوات اهللا وسالمه علیهم أجمعین ، وهذا مكتوب في الكتب السماویة كلها. فلماذا یهاجمنا بها الغرب , وهم

معترفون أصال ومكتوبة عندهم! The answer is : NO. Polygamy

was the norm at the times of Ibrahim, Dawoud, Solayman, all known in the Bible to have

.been polygamists

نأتي اآلن لذكر الدواعي السیاسیة واإلجتماعیة والدینیة التي دعت الرسول لتعدید زوجاته

Now, let’s mention the political, social and religious reasons the prophet had these

.marriages

أوال : توریث اإلسالم والدعوة بدقة تفاصیلهما وخصوصیاتهما (كالصالة وحركاتها ) فال بد من دخول ناس لبیت الرسول - صلى اهللا علیه وسلم- لنقل التفاصیل المطلوبة لتعلیم األمة ...فأراد اهللا – عز

وجل - بزواج الرسول من السیدة عائشة حیث كانت صغیرة تتعلم منه الكثیر بحكم سنها (والعلم في الصغر كالنقش على الحجر ) وعاشت

بعده 42 سنة تنشر العلم .. First: To spread the culture through eyewitnesses with all the

details known only to intimate people. Aaishah , being so young, was able to tell all those details to the Muslims for more than 42 years. She had seen and learnt so much from

him. Her young age was a great advantage in this respect. She could tell what the Prophet used to do or say in all aspects of

life, so that people do and say the same in the similar…situations

والحدیث في علم السیدة عائشة یطول حیث أنها كانت أعلم الناس بالفرائض والنوافل ...وإجمالي عدد األحادیث المرویة عن زوجات الرسول - علیه الصالة والسالم - 3000 حدیث . أما شبهة زواج السیدة عائشة وهي صغیرة فقد كانت طبیعة البیئة الصحراویة أن الفتاة تبلغ بسرعة وكان متعارف على تزویج الصغیرات لیس عند

العرب فحسب بل عن الروم والفرس Aaishah , was the most knowledgeable person

when it comes to the daily life of the Muslim and how it should go as was lived by the Prophet

himself . But how come he married her when she was only nine years old? The desert climate answers to that . In such environment Girls

reached youth very young. Not only in Arabia, but also in Roma and Persia, girls were married

that young

ثانیا : تأصیل العالقة بین الصحابة وتشبیكها مما یؤدي إلى تماسك االمة فها هو علیه السالم یتزوج بابنة أبي بكر وأخت عمر بن الخطاب

ویزوج ابنتیه لسیدنا عثمان والبنت الثالثة لسیدنا علي رضي اهللا عنهم جمیعا وأرضاهم

Second: To strengthen the relationships with his companions, he married Abi Bakr’s daughter and Omar's sister, married his daughters to Othman and Ali, May God be pleased with them.all

ثالثا : الرحمة باالرامل حیث تزوج الرسول - صلى اهللا

علیه وسلم - من األرامل (السیدة سودة وأم سلمة وأم حبیبة

Third: out of mercy and rewarding the early Muslim widows and divorcees he gave them the honor of marrying them himself (Husbands either died in battles or were

non Muslims who divorced them.). Sawdah,.Om-salama and Habeebah were widows

رابعا: استكمال تشریع اإلسالم حیث یقوم الرسول بالفعل بنفسه لیكون قدوة واسوة للمسلمین من بعده سواء كان بتكریم األرامل أو الرحمة

بمن اسلم من غیر المسلمین كزواجه بصفیة بعدما أسلم أبوها ورفعة لشأنه عند حاسدیه من الیهود

Fourth: The Prophet was being a role model for the Muslims being kind to the widows and to the people of the book who newly embraced Islam. He married Safiyah after her father , a

Jew, embraced Islam , so giving him and his daughter the honor among his people

خامسا : محبة الرسول - صلى اهللا علیه وسلم - لعقد الصلة والرابطة بین أقطار األرض كلها حیث أراد بزواجه من السیدة ماریا المصریة أن یؤلف بلدا بأكمله والرسول علیه الصالة والسالم تزوج السیدة

جویریة حتى یسلم بنو المصطلق حیث كانوا أسرى بید المسلمین بعد غزوة بني المصطلق والقصة معروفة

Fifth: He wanted to have ties and links with the different nations of the world. When he

married Mariya, all Egyptians were on his side, and when he married Gowayriyah, all her

people (they were called the Bani Almustalaq and were captured by the Muslims after a

battle),, they all embraced Islam

آمل أن أكون قد قدمت لكم ما تطمئن به قلوبكم ویثبتكم ویقویكم على مواجهة هذه الشبهة التي یرید منها أعداؤنا أو جهالنا تشكیكنا و النیل من دیننا ونبینا.

واهللا من وراء القصدوالدعاء للراسل حتى تقول لك المالئكة " ولك بالمثل...
