•Azim Hashim Premji was born in Bombay (now Mumbai), India on 24th July 1945 to businessman M.H.Premji.

•He was just finishing his undergraduate engineering studies at Stanford University in 1966 when his father passed away. He immediately returned to India where he took over the family`s fledgling vegetable oil business.

•Under Premji's management, Wipro Ltd expanded and progressed to new heights, and the business began developing to manufacture other products. This included light bulbs with GE, and hydraulic tippers.

•I1979, when IBM were left without permission to continue business in India, he saw an opportunity and turned his attention to the computer industry. Very soon afterwards, his business became one of the world's leading computer producers.

Conclusion

The above analysis shows that both ethical and unethical practices may

co-exist in a company , but as far as the studies and research that have

been carries out. Wipro seem to be on right track, focusing clearly on

the ethical issues and implementing a process in places to curb non-

ethical issues, making it to come up to the top five companies in india .
