What’s stopping you joining?

• “We’re worried about the time commitment” We say: Submitting readings needn’t be onerous, readings are only required annually

minimum and many companies already have this data to hand.

• “Our company is going through a growth stage so our CO2 emissions are bound

to increase over the next two years” We say: Data can be normalised in Energydeck against number of employees, floor space of

office etc. There will be different WECC Carbon Champion Award categories for different types of business to reflect individual challenges. There is much scope to learn from other organisations facing same challenges of matching growth and environmental sustainability.

• “We’re already doing everything we can to be green”

That’s brilliant; but please don’t go quiet on us! Adding your name to the membership shows your organisation values green business practice and enables WECC’s work to continue. Also you will add your company’s voice to the discussion. Also, are you really doing everything? There’s always more low hanging fruit! WECC helps you explore more options and see what others are doing.
