Nursing module in VistA can deliver

The Nursing module is comprised of multiple components - i.e., Nursing Administration, Education & Training, Nursing Schedules, Clinical Care, and Quality Assurance.

Objectives

• Perform functional assessment in the nursing administration department , emergency department and critical care to assess need analysis

• Collect the current paper documents convert them and create the templates in CPRS test server to be used as electronic patient records

Current Situation Paper based patient nursing care record and report, illegible,not timely,time consuming,not centrally accessed.only one person can access record at a time

Quantitative 5 to 10 % nursing documentation being done in JPNATC ED and ICU.

95 to 100 % nursing record and report will be entered electronically in VistA EHR

Qualitative Compliance rate is poor , no methodical data entry by nurses or nurse administration

All relevant data entry into templates fields.
