org – 5colours1world

blue sky stuff supports as best it can a number of organisations, this is one of them:-

5colours1world

5Colours1World is an intercultural organization whose focus is on youth empowerment and active media training. The training projects and workshops we facilitate are centered around cultural diversity, interreligious dialogue, civic journalism, media literacy, gender equality, active nonviolence and

peacebuilding, poverty eradication, racism, xenophobia, Fairtrade and environmental sustainability.

We also consult and cooperate with local, national and international NGOs who work in these areas of interest and specialization in addition to Nobel Peace Prize winners (Adolfo Perez Esquivel & Mairead

Corrigan Maguire) and other individuals such as Dr. Jane Goodall and Werner Lampert, pioneer of organic farming in Austria, who work creatively and nonviolently to generate positive initiatives for active social

and environmental change. To date, Gregory and Stuart have cooperated and worked with The International Fellowship of Reconciliation (I.F.O.R), The Jane Goodall Institute, The Erste Foundation,

WienXtra, The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), The Wi’am Center, KonfliktKultur and the The Council of Europe’s Pestalozzi Program.

Stuart’s career began within the UK TV industry at Sky Television and then as a freelance location sound mixer for various international television programmes and short films. This followed the completion of a

Bachelor degree in Professional Media: Video from the University of Gloucestershire. A diverse and multi-skilled expansion into camera operating, video editing and other graphical post production techniques and a move to Vienna led to Stuart volunteering as mixed media expert, coordinator and a trainer of I.F.O.R

Austria’s Global Education English Project Weeks.

Gregory Kennedy-Salemi studied computer science and international relations at a private university in Chicago while simultaneously working as a computer systems manager at MTI Technology. Gregory

represented his university at the United Nations in Geneva after which he began his tenure in 2003 as a volunteer global education coordinator, trainer and mixed media specialist for I.F.O.R Austria. During this time, Gregory was invited to speak at the United Nations on the importance of Global Education. Gregory also worked as a technical consultant and web developer at I.F.O.R’s International Secretariat in Holland.

He also produces and directs commercial video projects for young, innovative start-up companies in central Europe.

org – “IN the PINK”

ABOUT THIS PROJECT : more info here on kickstarter : initiator Connie NoyesMy vision is big – global, in fact. I want to change the world. And, I want us to do it together. What began as merely a thought about the space I occupy with my pinkish-self has turned into a call to unite 1,000,000 people around the globe. EVERYONE IS INVITED!! One million people involved – creating “IN the PINK” opportunities for themselves and others as this ongoing multimedia event unfolds.

The events start in November with my exhibition PINKSpace at Blanc Gallery in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago where IN THE PINK: the 1,000,000 people art project will officially launch . This large scale project both coincides with and strengthens the concept of PINKSpace.

So as not to confuse matters, there are two parts to my project description here. First is the exhibit, PINKSpace a body of work that I have been passionately pursuing for the past year. And second, IN THE PINK: the 1,000,000 people art project, which is a long-term adventure. In the Pink (the project) was ignited by thoughts I had while I created the art for this exhibit.

An interactive website is in the works where 1,000,000 global citizens will post projects they are passionate about – projects that can make a difference. The website will be a database for networking across disciplines (ie: artists and scientists, or community organizers or environmental activists, doctors, teachers the list is endless but you get the idea), a central source for curating exhibitions and bringing people together for residencies, dialog and symposiums.

IN THE PINK: WHAT AND WHY

seeing pink elephants is a euphemism for hallucinations

In the earliest citations from the 16th century, the phrase “In the Pink” meant to be at the very pinnacle of a moment or event. Today, it is most commonly used to mean in perfect condition especially in relationship to health. The project, In the Pink: the million people art project is a call for the global community at this fragile yet pinnacle moment in our collective history to come together in partnership, creativity and passion to create a healthier, more perfect condition for themselves and others.

This project has roots in a concept slogan from the 1970’s; “THINK globally, ACT locally.” As global consciousness increases through the expansion of technology, it is easier than ever before to imagine how we are all connected and perhaps easier to see and understand how small thoughtful acts can make a world of change- turning problems into opportunities for global solutions.

WE MUST ALL PARTICIPATE TO CREATE CHANGE. The only way I know to do this is by bringing people together in community through ART.

org – roots and shoots

blue sky stuff supports as best it can a number of organisations, this is one of them:-

Roots & Shoots

Roots creep underground everywhere and make a firm foundation. Shoots seem very weak, but to reach the light, theycan break open brick walls. Imagine that the brick walls are all the problems we have inflicted on our planet. Hundreds ofthousands of roots & shoots, hundreds of thousands of young people around the world, can break through these walls. WeCAN change the world. - Dr. Jane

The Roots & Shoots program is about making positive change happen—for our people, for animals and for the environment. With tens of thousands of young people in more than 120 countries, the Roots & Shoots network connects youth of all ages who share a desire to create a better world. Young people identify problems in their communities and take action. Through service projects, youth-led campaigns and an interactive website, Roots & Shoots members are making a difference across the globe.

"The Best of Vienna" is an exclusive, multi-cultural network of trusted top quality professionals which showcases the Austrian capital as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is one of the first websites within the global start-up project: www.thebestoftheworldinfo.com

Our aim as a global PR and Marketing Agency is to promote Vienna as a cosmopolitan city through sharing the very best that Vienna has to offer. “The Best of Vienna” www.thebestofviennablog.com features some of the unique highlights of Vienna as brought to life by the rich cosmopolitan lifestyle, arts and culture, multi-cultural & diplomatic community, selective top quality businesses and much more. “The Best of” is a privilege of which can only be earned and further explored. We only promote events, businesses, services, venues and people that are highly recommended to us. We also support talented artists, designers, local and international charities; especially those organizations and associations that foster peace and friendship among nations. Our intention is to promote selective business or services through The Best of The World network by offering the exclusive memberships. To be one of "the best", these businesses and venues need to meet the criteria, namely: offer the top quality service, have the best references and the passion for the work that they do. Only in this way we are able to recommend their services to the rest of our network. Excellent reputation and outstanding reliability and creativity are also the requirements to become the member of this selective network. We plan to regularly send the monthly (or weekly) newsletters to our mailing list with the event highlights and member-to-member discounts as soon as the website design and features are changed. The Best of the World is planned to become a Global Network promoting highlights of each country and many major cities. Many website domains are already reserved and need to be designed with the same template: automated and inter-connected.

Our goals: 1. To promote the local and international tourism, businesses, hotels, restaurants, artists, associations, clubs, properties, luxury brands, beauty, health and fashion, charities and selected, top quality services, products, venues and events that are highly recommended to us

2. To promote green, ecological and alternative topics including self-development and alternative health therapies

3. To create ‘bridges’ between people and building long-term cooperation by recognizing the synergies, where offers meet the needs

4. To support and initiate inter-cultural and business exchange within the “Best of The World” network, centralizing all information under the central domain: www.thebestoftheworldinfo.com

5. To organize “The Best of” photo exhibitions & competitions as well as B2B events where we will introduce the members of our network to each other, combining arts and culture, business and fashion and at the same time showing solidarity to support the chosen international and local charities. Please check the following link with The Best of Vienna photo exhibition concept that will be applied in many major cities and countries in the world:

WeForest

organisation – WeForest

WeForest

blue sky stuff promotes chosen projects with passion:-

……WeForest is an international non-profit organization promoting worldwide permaculture-based reforestation to combat climate changethrough increased cloud cover. We also promote scientific research on cloud nucleation (bio-precipitation). www.weforest.com

We plant forests and support local communities with our expertise to restore degraded land while fighting poverty, water shortage and soil erosion. Our short video says it all: http://bit.ly/2HxoXn

We are currently established in Switzerland and in Belgium.

We are also creating a global movement to restore and reforest 20 million km² of degraded land and would like you to join us in this! Organizations that have already joined us are for example the Nobel Charitable Trust.

What makes us different ?

You must see the forest growing not just the trees! Forests are holistic systems that are the cornerstone of the biosphere: they seed clouds; tropical forest trees grow faster and absorb more CO2.

• We grow Clouds: a 2% increase in clouds could halt current Global Warming in its track long enough for the “low carbon energy miracle” to happen.

• We grow Food: 1 acre of permaculture designed forest garden can power 10 people, whereas 1 acre of wheat less than 5. Ending poverty and hunger will end one of the root causes of deforestation.

• We grow Life: restoring balance to the biosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere while making precious fertile soils and boosting biodiversity.

What is our vision?

We believe that in order to reach the ambitious objective of 20 million km² of forest by 2020, the world must become an effective and preserving network engaging individuals, corporations, NGO’s, scientists, governments and media.

What would it mean if humanity can profit from halting climate change? Bill gates recently said we need a technological miracle and we need it on a pretty tight deadline. WeForest has created a movement that is working to answer this vital question right now until the ‘low carbon miracle’ happens
