What is Via Colori?

Via Colori is a street painting festival in which hundreds of artists, community

organizations, vendors and partners come together to host the most creative festival

in Kentucky. Approximately 100 artists will come with the intent of making an artistic

masterpiece on a large scale, directly on the streets of Elizabethtown. This event is

completely built by the community. We will have music on three stages, Star Wars,

craft and direct sale vendors, art vendors, family friendly activities, such as child street

painting and superhero visits, bounce houses, a family photo tent, additional non-

profits in an awareness section, a food court, street performers, community leaders,

costumed characters, an art gallery dedicated to child created pieces, and of course,

street art!

Via Colori is a celebration of art in order to raise awareness for the

children of our community. Via is hosted by New Beginnings Foundation,

a registered 501(c)(3). New Beginnings Foundation supports New

Beginnings Family Services a therapeutic foster care and adoption agency.

They provide care to children who are in the custody of the state, and are

displaced from their biological family. Many of these children haveexperience a severe trauma, abuse, neglect and/or abandonment.

New Beginnings Family Services serves children birth-18 years. We are

similar to traditional foster care, except we place children who have special

needs and require more frequent agency support than a traditional foster

care agency. Our services are much more intensive, and our foster parents

are equipped with the skills they need to provide love and support to these

special children. These children may be afraid, confused, angry, or

heart-broken from being separated from their families. They need a caringenvironment that will boost their self-esteem, provide encouragement and

most importantly love.

New Beginnings Family Services spends less than

10% of our annual gross income on administrative

costs. The majority of our funds go directly to our

children and families, ensuring they have

everything they need to live a happy, healthy life.
