Los verbos irregulares en inglés (=English irregular verbs) En inglés, hay una serie de verbos cuyo Simple Past (Pasado Simple) y Past Participle (participio pasado) no siguen ninguna regla, y por lo tanto, son los llamados verbos irregulares. (El sol se ha levantado por el este). 2) (to) awake: despertarse. Simple Past: awoke. Past Participle: awoken. Ex.: The boy had awaken when his parents arrived. (El chico se había despertado cuando llegaron sus padres). 3) (to) be/ am, are, is: ser, estar. Simple Past: was / were. Past Participle: been. Ex.: Tom had been in London for three years. (Tom había estado en Londres durante tres años). 4) (to) bear: dar a luz, soportar. Simple Past: bore. Past Participle: born. Ex.: Jill bore a big child last night. (Jill dio a luz a un niño grande anoche). 5) (to) beat: vencer, golpear. Simple Past: beat. Past Participle: beaten. Ex.: James had beaten his brother's nose at the school. 6) (to) become: convertirse en, llegar a ser. Simple Past: became. Past Participle: become. Ex.: Hugh had become a very good guitar player last year (Hugh se había convertido en un buen guitarrista el año pasado).

112) (to) spend: gastar. Simple Past: spent. Past Participle: spent.
Ex.: Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith have spent their holidays at Malaga. (Antonio Banderas y Melanie Griffith han pasado sus vacaciones en Málaga).
113) (to) spill: derramar. Simple Past: spilt / spilled. Past Participle: spilt / spilled.
Ex.: The dog has spilled/spilt the oil on the floor. (El perro ha derramado el aceite en el suelo).

Ex.: The dress maker has spun the shirt. (La sastra ha hilado la camisa).

142) (to) undergo: sufrir. Simple Past: underwent. Past Participle: undergone.
Ex.: The doctor's daughter has undergone a terrible illness. (La hija del médico ha sufrido una terrible enfermedad).
143) (to) undertake: emprender. Simple Past: undertook. Past Participle: undertaken. Ex.: Nuria and her husband have undertaken a long trip. (Nuria y su marido han emprendido un largo viaje).

COMO MEMORIZAR LA LISTA DE VERBOS IRREGULARES DEL INGLES. TIPS.
OS ESCRIBO ESTE MENSAJE CON DOBLE INICIATIVA:
1- NO ES LA PRIMERA VEZ QUE DOY CONSEJOS EN ESTE FORO SOBRE COMO APRENDER EL INGLES O COMO ESTUDIARLO, Y EL RESULTADO HA SIDO SIEMPRE UNAS BUENAS CRITICAS POR PARTE DE LOS FORISTAS..A MUCHOS OS HE AYUDADO CON ESTOS CONSEJOS.
2- LA DIFICULTAD QUE CONLLEVA MEMORIZAR UNA LISTA DE VERBOS YA DE POR SI ES DIFICIL, SIN CONTEXTO ALGUNO QUE LO APOYE...LA PROPUESTA DE LA FORISTA CELEESTE SE SUMA A LA CAUSA.
AHORA COMENCEMOS:
No es realista que te pases diez o, más años, de tu vida aprendiendo una lista de verbos (conozco casos de compañer@s de carrera). Sin verbos no se puede hablar.
Saberse los verbos significa decirlos sin dudar, ni tan siquiera por un momento, cómo se pronuncian y se utilizan dentro del contexto de una conversación. Razón por la cual, te animo a que te lo tomes en serio y aprendas de una vez por todas los verbos. ¿Cómo? A continuación te lo explico en el siguiente mensaje.

La lista de verbos irregulares en inglés incluye tres columnas.
* La primera columna son los verbos en infinitivo, es decir, la raíz del verbo. Por ejemplo, el verbo "to do" sería en español, "hacer".
* La segunda columna son los verbos en pasado (para todas las personas igual). Por ejemplo, el pasado del verbo "to do", sería "did".
* La tercera columna, es el participio del verbo. Por ejemplo, del verbo "to do" sería "done", es decir, "hecho". En español son los verbos terminados en -ido (comido), -ado (trabajado) o algunas formas irregulares, como por ejemplo, visto, hecho, etc.

Hay que repetir la lista de verbos regulares e irregulares hasta la saciedad. Esto significa que debes encerrarte en una habitación y proponerte, por ejemplo, aprender cuatro verbos cada día. También puedes ir durante el día repitiendo los verbos en voz alta, o mentalmente, en el coche o en cualquier lugar que creas oportuno. Es muy importante que cuando estés haciendo esto, intentes borrar de tu memoria el sonido en español, que seguro se te ha quedado grabado cuando aprendiste inglés en el colegio. Recuerda que si no intentas aprender el sonido en inglés, no entenderás lo que te dicen, ni tampoco te entenderán. Aunque no nos guste a la mayoría, esta es la única manera casi efectiva ya no solo de aprender la lista de verbos, sino cualquier lista de terminos o expresiones (piensa por ejemplo los phrasal verbs o los idioms), asi que estos consejos valdrian para cualquier lista a memorizar. Intenta apoyar el verbo a aprender con una frase que te ayude a recordarla y siempre que sea un ejemplo fácil para ti.

Para aprender estos verbos de verdad, deberás repetir en voz alta y, hasta el cansancio, la pronunciación aproximada (no la forma en cómo se escriben).
Para que puedas leer los verbos casi como en español, he puesto la pronunciación de lo sonidos en español entre los corchetes [ ]. Pero ¡ ojo ! ten en cuenta que es sólo aproximada.
La lista esta dividida en los siguientes mensajes a partir de este:
