Why Use PowerPoint1. Using PowerPoint encourages slow,

thoughtful, focused reading.2. You can create bulleted lists which are ideal

for planning.3. It’s easy to organize the slides into a logical

order—they are like electronic index cards.4. You can use animation, color, fonts, etc.5. It’s easy to add pictures and audio.6. You can manually page through each slide.

Page 5: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Why Use PowerPoint7. You can use “looping” to cycle through a presentation multiple

times to take advantage of the power of repetition.8. You can create slide presentations that run automatically.9. You can set the text to be big enough to read from across the

room.10. You can add notes that are not included in the slides. See the

notes to this slide as an example. The Notes Page view is best for reviewing the notes.

11. If you add notes, you can print them out by printing out the handouts.

12. You can easily copy information from other sources—text or images.

13. You can even turn whole electronic books into PowerPoint presentations. For example, I have turned the entire book The Science of Getting Rich into a series of 17 PowerPoint presentations (one presentation for each chapter).

Page 6: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Notes Page View On the menu Ribbon, go to View > Notes Page

to see a view of the slide with the notes. See the next slide for a screen shot. When you see the screenshot, it will be

obvious to you how helpful this view can be. For goals, you can list plans for achieving them. For affirmations, you can list ideas for applying it. For books, you can add your own ideas and the

actions you are going to take. If you want to print out your notes, you can print

out the notes page.

The ULTIMATE GOAL is to use the PowerPoint slides as a tool for

conditioning your subconscious mind.

Page 10: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Here’s the High Level Plan…1. You use your conscious mind to voluntarily

influence your subconscious mind using autosuggestion or repetition of thought. Slideshows like this are one of the tools you can use to influence your subconscious mind.

2. Your subconscious mind influences your daily actions and the actions of other people towards you.

3. Your daily actions crystalize into habits of success.

4. Your habits create into your long term results.

Power Point Menus I Use Most Often and Why

What Follows are the Practical “Mechanics” of How I Use PowerPoint

Page 12: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Transitions Menu

For the transitions, I like to use “Fade” but it’s a matter of personal choice.

Apply to All – this is useful if you want to apply all of the settings on this tab to all of your slides. Note: if you have rehearsed your timings this will wipe them out!

After – this automatically advances the slide after a certain amount of time. The time shown is the time for the specific slide you are on. Sometimes if I don’t want to rehearse the times for a large

presentation, I set an average time I want used for all of the slides, and then select “Apply to All.”

If I want to modify the time for a specific slide, I select the slide and then adjust the time I want to use for the presentation.

Page 13: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Animations Menu

I only use this for bulleted lists. If you have a bulleted list, and click anywhere within the list, you can

then select the animation effect, each bulleted item will appear during the presentation when you click your mouse or use the down arrow.

I prefer using “Fade,” but it’s a matter of personal preference.

Page 14: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Slide Show Menu

From Beginning – starts the show from the beginning. From Current Slide – starts the presentation from the current slide. Set Up Slide Show – this brings up a separate menu—more on this on

the next slide. Rehearse Timings – when you press this option, the presentation

launches and records the time you spend on each slide and each bulleted item in bulleted lists. – More on this later.

Use Timings – This uses the timings to automatically advance your presentation. I usually leave this checked, but sometimes I’ll uncheck it if I want to manually scroll through the presentation.

Show on: - If you have two monitors, it allows you to select which monitor you want to use to see the presentation. I have two monitors, so I usually chose the largest monitor for the presentation.

Page 15: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Set Up Slide Show Sub-Menu This is on the Slide Show ribbon. When you select that option,

the menu appears.

The key options I use here are “Loop continuously until ‘Esc’” and “Using timings, if present.”

Note: If I am Rehearsing my timings, I uncheck “Loop continuously…” so that the presentation ends on the last slide.

Page 16: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Setting Slide Timings (Important)

Turn Looping OFF before Rehearsing Timings (see the previous slide).

Go to “Slide Show” on the PowerPoint ribbon. Select “Rehearse Timings.” When you do, the presentation will open in “Presentation

Mode.” Read through each slide and page through at a relaxed pace. PowerPoint will capture the amount of time you spend on each slide.

When you get to the end, PowerPoint will ask you if you want to save the timings. Select “Yes.” You can always review and revise them later.

Page 17: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Setting Slide Timings To review the timings, just go to the Slide

Show menu and select “From Beginning.” The show will automatically advance through the slides according to the time rehearsed. This allows you to watch your presentation “hands-free.”

If you want to see the timings for each slide, go to the “Slide Sorter” view where you can see the timings for each slide and manually set/change them as desired.

Using PowerPoint Slides…

20

Using PowerPoint for Reviewing Goals Use one slide for each goal statement. This helps you focus

on that one goal. Use a large font so that you can read the goal from a

distance. Use the rehearse timings to read through the slides at a

normal pace. Alternatively, you may want to set a fixed time for each slide. The timings are used when you automate your presentation.

Optional: Add pictures that help you visualize the goal. Take your time as you go through the slides to visualize the

completion of the goal. I like to limit my list to my 10-30 important one year goals. I number the goal to help me remember it and as an

indication of its order of importance to me. I order the slides in the order of importance of the goals.

Some sample slides of goals, affirmations, books, and notes

What follows are four sample goal slides…

Page 21: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

1) I am earning $X or more per year from my

XYZ business.

Page 22: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

2) I share my Think and Grow Rich workbook with

X or more people.

Page 23: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

3) I am increasing my hourly rate to $X per hour for Y hours per

week-- a $Z per month increase.

Page 24: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

4) I am financially independent with $X or

more in the bank.

Page 25: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

26

Additional Notes When I create a presentation of my individual goals, I put only one

goal per slide. I state the goal in the first person, present tense (as an

affirmation). I use looping and timings to automatically loop through the

presentation. When I get an idea, I pause the presentation using the up arrow

key. Then I make notes (either off-line or using a different program) of the actions I want to take and then press the down arrow to continue the presentation.

I often leave the presentation running on my computer while I do other things around my home. Periodically I will glance at the presentation which serves as a reminder to think about my goals. I get a LOT of new ideas this way.

I enter my most important ideas into the “Notes” section of the PowerPoint on the slide. The best view to do this is the “Notes Page” view. Go to the “View” menu to see that option.

Affirmations

What follows are four sample affirmation slides…

Page 27: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

I am now filled with faith, certainty, and confidence. I now create and feel these

emotions in my body.

Page 28: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

I now walk and move with assurance, poise,

and personal power.

Page 29: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

I now have the ability to change anything in my life that I choose to change. I

take complete responsibility for my life.

Page 30: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

I now have a clear and definite picture of exactly what I want and I think about it continuously.

Page 31: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Imagine looping through a series of affirmations of your choice several times a day…how would this help you condition your subconscious mind?

Page 32: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

33

Books I create a separate slide show for each chapter of the book. If it is a

particularly large chapter, I may divide the chapter into logical segments.

When I transfer a book to PowerPoint, I typically create a separate slide for each sentence.

I create the book using MS Word in Outline form. I alternate between Level 1 and Level 2 of the outline. Level 1 is blank, Level 2 has the text.

I keep the text left justified, but centered in the middle of the page. If a sentence is long, I may break it between two pages. If I want to add notes, I add them to the notes section of PowerPoint. I

like to use the Notes Page view for that. Because of the large number of slides, I usually assign an average time

to each slide rather than read through the slides to come up with a custom time. I can adjust specific slides later if I want based on the length of the sentences.

I’ve done this for The Science of Getting Rich, Think and Grow Rich, and all 66 books of the Bible (KJV) so far, but plan to do it for additional public domain books in the future.

Page 33: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Books

What follows are five sample slides from a collection of over 1,200 slides I created of Wallace D. Wattle’s classic book The Science of Getting Rich…

These slides are from Chapter 7 on Gratitude.

Page 34: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Many people who order their lives rightly in all other ways are kept in poverty by their lack of gratitude.

Page 35: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Having received one gift from God, they cut the wires which connect them with him by failing to make acknowledgment.

Page 36: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

It is easy to understand that the nearer we live to the source of wealth, the more wealth we shall receive.

Page 37: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

And it is easy also to understand that the soul that is always grateful lives in closer touch with God than the one which never looks to him in thankful acknowledgment.

Page 38: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

The more gratefully we fix our minds on the Supreme when good things come to us, the more good things we will receive, and the more rapidly they will come.

Page 39: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Notes The source of your notes can come from anywhere:

Books Articles Seminars Your own ideas

The general pattern I follow is the same. I create one or more slideshows depending on the amount of

content. I tend to put one major idea or sentence per slide. You may

think it’s overkill to create so many slides, but in my experience, this helps you to focus on the important ideas and really burn them into your subconscious mind so that you ACT on them. Only your ACTIONS create results.

I loop through the slides in order to review the notes. I add more detailed notes as necessary in the notes section

Page 40: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

What follows are 6 slides of notes that I took from Brian Tracy’s book on goals.

Page 41: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Are you ambitious? Do you want to get ahead FASTER?

Page 42: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

1. Write down your goals. 2. Make plans to achieve

them. 3. Execute your plans

every single day.

Page 43: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

“Success is goals, and all else is commentary.”

Page 44: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

“Your time and life are precious. The biggest waste of time and life is to spend years accomplishing something that you could have achieved in only a few months.”

Page 45: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

The purpose for setting goals and creating plans to achieve them is to significantly REDUCE the amount of time it takes to achieve those goals.

Page 46: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Learn from proven experts. Follow the leaders. Do not follow the followers.

Page 47: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Next Actions Along with this PowerPoint, I’ve included three additional

presentations I recommend that you review: The 6 Steps outlined in chapter 2 of Think and Grow Rich for

reviewing your financial Definite Major Purpose. The summary of instructions for following the 6 steps from

chapter 4 of Think and Grow Rich. This is from the chapter on Autosuggestion.

A template you can use to create a PowerPoint you can use for reviewing your current financial Definite Major Purpose following the 6 steps. I recommend that you modify this to fit your current financial Definite Major Purpose and review it regularly in order to condition your subconscious mind.

As you review these slides (over and over again), ideas will begin to flash into your mind for applying the principles. Write down those ideas and TAKE ACTION as quickly as possible to execute your ideas.

Page 48: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Next Actions Start looking for ways you can use PowerPoint

for conditioning your subconscious mind. Affirmations Goals Books Notes Vision boards (while I haven’t covered that here,

you can see how easy it would be to add pictures that are related to your goals).

The bottom line is take positive action ASAP. Only ACTION is ACTION.

Page 49: Using PowerPoint to Condition Your Subconscious Mind Reviewing Goals, Affirmations, Books, and Notes .

Next Actions I’ve made additional PowerPoint presentations

to people who have access to my download page (over 100 slideshows in total—thousands of slides).

THE END(or is it really THE

BEGINNING…)
