of the same coin? Intended to be a part of one big happy family by Mother Nature?

Borders exist for the sake of existing. To demarcate the boundaries and for the division, however, not all borders are the same; while some may be boring, the others are breath-taking. What follows is a list of borders between various countries and the amazing stories that they tell.

Overview Vatican City – Italy The border is marked by the entry to St. Peter’s Square. What a stunningly beautiful border, we must say! help stop illegal immigration. Regardless, the border between the two countries is one of the most traveled in the world and stretches a little over 3200 km. border in the world. Pictured above is the Rainbow Bridge used as a crossing between the two countries. What is perhaps the quaintest of borders on the list, the town of Baarle sits just on the line marking the Netherlands [left] from Belgium [right]. Why not enjoy a cup of tea in one country and a pastry in the other? Located within the de-militarized zone between the two countries, this is possibly one of the most heavily guarded borders on the list. In fact, the two countries are technically still at war, and to this day American troops are stationed on the South Korean side. World Australia and its three surrounding oceans is technically still a border. The country is home to over 10,000 beaches all with stunning scenery like the shallow cove pictured above. Norway and Sweden the two countries of Norway and Sweden makes for a great path for snowmobilers. Argentina and Brazil The Iguazu Falls vary from 60 to 80 meters high but partially sit along the border of Argentina and Brazil. As can be seen in the bottom right of the above picture, there is even a viewing platform where you can take a closer look at some of the breathtaking sights. This is definitely a location to put on your bucket list. Haiti and The Dominican Republic There is a saying that reads, “Grass is always greener on the other side.” Well, if you are from Haiti, this is quite literally true. Environmental laws clearly distinguish Haiti and The Dominican Republic. Haiti, on the left, has limited deforestation laws, compared to the Dominican Republic on the right. border runs from the Line of Control (LoC), which separates the Indian-controlled Kashmir from Pakistan-controlled Kashmir. A ceremony takes place every night, and the flags are lowered at the only road between the two countries. Poland and Ukraine of the cutest borders. It is decorated with fish. Every year a festival is held at this border called ‘The Land Art Festival.’ Sweden. Until the year 2000, there was no bridge which meant there was no land border at all, and it was entirely a maritime boundary. Costa Rica and Panama that separates Costa Rica and Panama. The bridge is also used by pedestrians, cars and trucks. Germany and the Netherlands Have you ever wanted to be in two counties at the same time? This border exists inside a building, and there is a German mailbox on one side and a police officer, and the other side has a Dutch mailbox and a Dutch police officer. three countries share this border, isn’t it amazing? The world's largest enclave population of approximately two million. Zmbia, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and four countries meet at a single point. This so- called quadripoint (which many argue is only two tripoints) can be found at the intersection of Zmbia, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. Finland and Sweden Suspended between Finland and Sweden, at the point where the Baltic Sea gives way to the Gulf of Bothnia, is a peculiar island. Märket Island (Swedish for “border marker”) was meant to be split clean down the middle. But a Finnish lighthouse, erected on the Swedish side of Märket (when Finland was controlled by Russia) violated the border. To correct the mistake, the border across Market now zigs and zags wildly.
