SAID FP7 European Project

The need for providing high quality water to citizens and to reduce damages produced by floods and droughts has motivated our company to embrace a new challenging project focused on development of software-based decision support system (DSS). The objective of SAID project is to involve the final users and the SMEs in order to improve the production and deployment of smarter water management system in Europe.

We have closely collaborated with leading energy efficiency organizations in order to make available the value-added solutions. SportE2, ENERsip and SaveEnergy are the examples of our commitment and expertise in development of intelligent, scalable and adaptive energy management systems.

Real-time collaboration framework. Provides an Application Programming Interface (API) a l lowing in-house and 3rd par ty products/services development. Real-time collaboration can be integrated with numerous vertical markets, such as education, music and gaming.

This product is aimed at sports people of any skill level, provides tools that make the scheduling of matches easy and fast, and helps you find p layers and spor ts venues anywhere in the world, through a deep integration with most popular social networks.

Smart ParkingSmart Parking solution. This solution brings together all aspects of parking management technology in one integrated system — from sensor vehicle detection to base station and car tags, it really is a suite of real-time parking management applications, key performance indicators and insights for better parking policy and management.

bikeemotion4th generation bike sharing system. A disruptive and innovative project, that goes beyond existing systems. The locking and unlocking mechanisms are no longer on docking stations but embedded in the bicycle itself. Any city will be able to have a cheap, green, environmentally friendly and fun bicycle network, improving its attractiveness, public image and urban quality of life.

Accommodation of the FutureProject developed for AHRESP (Portuguese Association for Hotels and Restaurants) in cooperation with Idtour. The project encompasses the modernization of the diversity of communication tools and initiatives as well as the development of smartphone applications, virtual tourist card, and web platform for tourism products promotion, among others innovative solutions.

ANACOM Case Study ANACOM, the Portuguese communication regulator, felt the need to monitor and validate the Quality of Services (QoS) provided by Internet operators as well as to implement an effective mechanism for real measurement of DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) coverage integrity. Taking into account all projects specific requirements we d eve l o p e d t h e I n te r n e t Q o S Measurement System and DVB-T Signal Monitoring Platform.

IP-Centrex PlatformDevelopment of IP-Centrex Corporate Solution user interface for the major telecom operator in Portugal. The project resulted in a global solution for businesses by offering a range of advanced call management functions for mobile and fixed phones as well as acting as a private automatic branch exchange/ IP Centrex.

CompetencesSmart Cities and CommunitiesCities worldwide are facing diverse challenges to demonstrate its commitments to environmental and social demands. The growing concern to find the right balance between urban development needs and global environmental changes challenges our company to create smart solutions for smart cities in areas such as mobility, tourism, energy and efficient resource m a n a g e m e n t . We e m b r a c e interoperability, Open Data and smart cloud-based services as fundamental components of what we do. These principles are reflected in the R&I projects that we are developing, as well as in our Smart Cities products and services.

Connected Smart Objects and PeopleConnected Smart Objects are having a great impact on society and business. Internet brought life to everyday objects connected over fixed and

wireless networks extending interaction to anywhere, anytime. Therefore, a new generation of permanently connected people arises as a result of constant technological advances. The close monitoring of technological advances and strong engineering background enabled us to develop several key competences in IoT ( Internet of Things ) and M2M (Machine-to-Machine) technology, Embedded Systems and Cyber-Physical Systems, Internet of People and Internet of Everything.

Future Internet and Next-Generation Networks have made a decisive impact on networked appl icat ions and serv ices by introducing new challenges and opportunities in terms of scalability,

Data Analytics, Open Data and InteroperabilityThe increase of data interoperability th rough new and innova t i ve approaches is one of the current tec h n o l o g i c a l c h a l l e n g e s . CMMI-based process improvement includes identifying your organization’s process strengths and weaknesses and making process changes to turn those weaknesses into strengths. Ubiwhere was the youngest Portuguese company to reach CMMI level 2 and is continuously working on its processes to soon get to Higher Maturity levels.
