This guide describes how to install the iBaan OpenWorld Adapter Suite 2.3 BOI Builder components. For best results, read this document completely before you start the installation process.

OpenWorld supports Baan IVc4, iBaan ERP 5.0b and iBaan ERP 5.0c. All references to the Baan system in this document pertain to these versions.

Chapter 1, “System requirements,” defines the system requirements that must be met before the start of the installation.

Chapter 2, “Setup for installation of OpenWorld BOI Builder components,” provides the setup required before the installation of iBaan OpenWorld Adapter Suite 2.3 BOI Builder Components.

Chapter 3, “iBaan OpenWorld BOI Builder installation,” provides the procedures that complete the installation procedure for BOI Builder Components.

This chapter describes the system requirements that must be met before you install the iBaan OpenWorld Adapter Suite 2.3 BOI Builder components.

Server-side requirements

For Baan IVc4 Baan IVc4 SP6 – Porting set 6.1c.05.02. Tools Version: tt B40_c4

(tt sp6 build). For more information, refer to the iBaan OpenWorld Adapter Suite 2.3 – Installation and Configuration Guide for Adapter for iBaan ERP (U7978A US).

iBaan OpenWorld Adapter 2.3 for Baan IV/iBaan ERP.

Prerequisites Solution 108198 must be installed with PMC to get the latest ottstp* part of

Baan IV Tools.

Solution 107473 is available on the Baan FTP site:

This solution must be installed on the Baan server to get the correct version of the bic_global. Rename this component bic_global and copy this solution to $BSE/include6.1.

Solution 106284 and 107117 must be installed with PMC to take care of the netlist. These solutions are available on the support site:



Solutions 108198, 106284, and 107117 are included in SP 8. As a result, you only have to install bic_global.

For iBaan ERP 5.0c iBaan ERP 5.0c SP5 or later – Porting set 7.1c or later. Tools Version: tt7.1_a

(tt SP3 build).

The porting set 7.1c on top of SP5 requires the installation of a number of application solutions. For more details, refer to iBaan ERP 5.0c - Technical Notes Porting Set 7.1c (U7592B US). For this reason, the preferred Service Pack to start with is SP6.

For more information, refer to iBaan OpenWorld Adapter Suite 2.3 – Installation and Configuration Guide for Adapter for iBaan ERP (U7978A US).

iBaan OpenWorld Adapter 2.3 for Baan IV/iBaan ERP.

For iBaan ERP 5.0b iBaan ERP 5.0b SP12 or later – Porting set 7.1c.02 or later. Tools Version:

ttB50_b.

iBaan OpenWorld Adapter 2.3 for iBaan ERP.

Download the following solutions required for proper functioning of the Function Server DLL from the Baan Global Support Web site:

This chapter provides an overview of the VRC structure that must be present on the customer’s server system to be able to install the OpenWorld BOI Builder components.

For Baan IVc4 The package combination when you install Baan is B40Sc4.

The VRC of the cc package is ccB40c4 or ccB40c3.

This document assumes that package VRC B40U_c4_stnd is defined as the standard update VRC in PMC tool.

Customers can have their own, deviating coding for their update VRCs, depending on the coding they used when they initialize PMC.

2 Setup for installation of OpenWorld BOI Builder components

Setup for installation of OpenWorld BOI Builder components


Take the following steps:

1 Start the Maintain Package VRC (ttadv1111m000) session and check whether package VRC B40U_c4_stnd exists for the package cc. If this package already exists, continue with the instructions described in Chapter 3, “Baan OpenWorld Builder installation,” later in this document. If this package does not exist, continue with the following steps in this procedure.

2 Add the package VRC cc B40U_c4_stnd derived from cc B40_ c4, or, if this is the top VRC, derived from cc B40_c3.



3 Make sure that in the Maintain Packages By Package Combination (ttaad1121m000) session, the package VRC cc B40U_c4_stnd is associated with the necessary package combination.

4 Click Rebuild DD in the Maintain Packages By Package Combination

(ttaad1121m000) session.

For iBaan ERP 5.0c The package VRC B50 c and B50c sp02 already exists when OpenWorld BOI Builder is installed on top of iBaan ERP 5.0c.

This document assumes that package VRC B50U_c_stnd is defined as the standard update VRC in the PMC tool.

Customers can have their own deviating coding for their update VRCs, depending on the coding they used when they initialize PMC.


1 Start the Package VRCs (ttadv1511m000) session and check if the package VRC B50U_c_stnd exists for the package cc. If this package already exists, continue with the instructions described in Chapter 3, “iBaan OpenWorld Builder installation. If this package does not exist, continue with the following steps.



2 Add the package VRC B50U_c_stnd derived from B50_c_sp02 for the package cc.

3 Make sure that in the Packages By Package Combination (ttaad1121m000)

session, the package VRC B50U_c_stnd is associated with the necessary package combination(s).

4 In the Packages By Package Combination (ttaad1121m000) session, on the Specific menu, click Rebuild DD.

For iBaan ERP 5.0b The package VRC B50 b already exists when OpenWorld BOI Builder is installed on top of iBaan ERP 5.0b.

This document assumes that package VRC B50U_b_stnd is defined as the standard update VRC in the PMC tool.

Customers can have their own deviating coding for their update VRCs, depending on the coding they used when they initialize PMC.


1 Start the Package VRCs (ttadv1511m000) session and check if the package VRC B50U_b_stnd exists for the package cc. If this package already exists, continue with the instructions described in Chapter 3, “Baan OpenWorld Builder installation. If this package does not exist, continue with the following steps.



2 Add the package VRC B50U_b_stnd derived from B50_b for the package cc.

3 Make sure that in the Packages By Package Combination (ttaad1121m000)

session, the package VRC B50U_b_stnd is associated with the necessary package combination(s).

4 In the Packages By Package Combination (ttaad1121m000) session, on the Specific menu, click Rebuild DD.




The installation procedure consists of the following steps:

For Baan IVc4 1 Copy the component bic_tmboa from the folder

AdapterForErp/Baan4c4/all_platforms/include6.1 on the OpenWorld Adapter Suite 2.3 Development CD-ROM to the $BSE\include6.1 directory on the Baan IVc4 server.

2 Download the following Solutions (Common Components) required by the BOI Builder from the Baan Global Support Web site:










The solution dumps described previously are also included on the iBaan OpenWorld Adapter Suite 2.3 Development CD-ROM in the folder Studio/BOIBuilder/Baan4c4/all_platforms.

To install these solution, take the following steps:

Start the Scan Solution File (ttpmc2200m000) session and scan the solution.

Start the Process Solutions (ttpmc2101m000) session, select the scanned solution, and on the Specific menu, click Check to install.

On the Specific menu, click Install Solution.

If these solutions depend on other solutions, check whether those solutions are already installed. If this is not the case, install them as well.

3 To install the BOI Builder dump, on the iBaan OpenWorld Adapter 2.3 Development CD-ROM, follow the path:

Studio\BOIBuilder\Baan4c4\all_platforms\dump_cc_2.3

4 Import the BOI Builder components with the Import Patch (ttiex1284m000) session.

In this case, the path for the dumps (Path Patch File) is the path where the BOI Builder Dumps are installed from the CD-ROM.

5 Create a run-time data dictionary in the Create Runtime Data Dictionary (ttadv5210m000) session after the components are installed. This step is mandatory.

You must perform this step because some new domains are added in the common components, as well as in the BOI Builder components.

The Package Combination selection in this figure is merely an example. Depending on the customer configuration, you might be required to include other and/or additional package combinations in the range.

6 Create the tables in the Create Tables (ttaad4230m000) session. This step is also mandatory.

The Company selection in this figure is merely an example. Select one of your companies to store the BOI Builder data.

Client-side installation to compile and run a BOI To trap the exceptions, the customer must have the following files on their system while running a BOI call from their integration.

BaanErrorHandler.dll BaanErrorHandler.jar

The customer can find these files on the iBaan OpenWorld Adapter Suite 2.3 Development CD-ROM from the following path:

/Studio/BOIBuilder/add_on/BaanError

NOTE



If BaanErrorHandler.dll file is not registered in Windows registry, the customer can register this file by using the regsvr32 command as shown in the following screenshot.

The customer must also specify the path of the BaanErrorHandler.jar file in the environment variable “CLASSPATH.”
