  1. 1. This week you learn how to use these verbs: COSTAR To Cost (how much $ does something cost?) QUEDAR To Remain (we are using it to refer to how much money you have left over from a purchase. FALTAR To Be Missing (we are using it to refer to how mucy money you have left over from a purchase.) Lets take a look at the verb Costar: It will be either singular (cuesta) or plural (cuestan). Look at the noun you are referring to what costs the amount you are talking about?
  2. 2. Check out this example of the verb Costar in action
  3. 3. A little more practice
  4. 4. Now lets talk about Quedar and Faltar QUEDAR To Remain (we are using it to refer to how much money you have left over from a purchase. FALTAR To Be Missing (we are using it to refer to how mucy money you have left over from a purchase.) Unlike the majority of the other verbs we have learned this year, you are going to conjugate Quedar and Faltar to match the noun to which it is referring.
  5. 5. Lets put these three verbs together to create two diffenent paragraphs: Yo compro una camisa. La camisa cuesta doscientos colones. Yo tengo tresciento y cincuenta colones. Me quedan ciento cincuenta colones. Yo quiero comprar un vestido. El vestido cuesta cuatrocientos colones. Yo tengo doscientos colones. Me faltan doscientos colones.
