MonarchyRule by ONE PERSON, usually a KING or QUEEN.

★ CONSTITUTIONAL: This leader DOES have to follow
written laws.

AristocracyA SMALL, PRIVILEGED (wealthy) group of people
are in charge.
EXAMPLE: India

DemocracyA system of government where the CITIZENS exercise power
by voting.
★ DIRECT: Each person individually votes to make decisions
★ INDIRECT: The people vote on representatives who then
make decisions
EXAMPLE: Athens, Greece

RepublicSupreme power is held by the PEOPLE and their elected
REPRESENTATIVES. This system has an elected or
nominated president rather than a monarch.
