Jaques Cartier

I will introduce the slide by asking the students what they know about Jaques Cartier and where he is from.

I will be asking the students what they know about Jaques Cartier at the beginning of the lesson, and I will use the picture to reinforce the students visual learning needs with the historical content of the lesson.

I will introduce the slide by having a class discussion about where Jaques Cartier went as an explorer.

I will be having the students interact with the map on the smart board to tell me where the explorer went, and I will have the students record for themselves where the explorer went on a map and I will have them write it in a sentence.
