Why do I ask this? Because I have noticed a worrying trend in a few teenagers wandering up and down Dingle road the last few days. They toss crackers (fireworks) onto flat balconies and at people’s pets in their yards. This shows a total lack of respect for others as well as for their property. Not to mention the worrying fact that they are abusing helpless animals that cannot escape the confines of their yards. Where does it stop? Will these teens later in life have enough empathy to stop themselves or others from committing acts of violence against others? None of us want to believe that our kids could do things like this, but the truth is even if our children are not doing it themselves and just “hanging” with kids that do this, they are likely to get into trouble by as- sociation.
