Ram Leela

Ram Leela is a popular enactment of the mythological epic, Ramayana. Although it is celebrated almost all over India, in Ram Nagar it is taken to the next level, with individual sets built all over the city to represent the different scenes of the story. The audience moves along with the actors to each set, and no modern audio/video enhancements are used in these plays. During this season, hotels like the Gateway Hotel Ganges Varanasi are very popular among devotees from afar.
