Youth for Mobility is an active and diverse organisation of youth workers, who are of various backgrounds and in their personal lives working with topics of sustainable energy, art, education, European culture, philosophy and activism. We are a platform where ideas can be openly shared an openly discussed. That is what makes us grow in the last couple of years. The organisation’s headquarters are located in the vibrant and international city of The Hague in the South Wing of the country. However, our activities are happening all over Europe and staff working on them comes from different cultures. https://www.facebook.com/YouthForMobility/

With our project, we want to create a safe environment for you to explore and master your project management skills to form a base for further active engagement in your local communities. This overall aim will be supported by the development of skills and competencies and improvement of basic knowledge on project management during the whole exchange. During the Youth Exchange, you will learn to make your ideas happen, to implement your own initiatives. Have you ever considered organizing your own event, a flash mob, a youth exchange, a project, etc… but didn’t have enough skills/courage/etc. to implement your idea? – Then this youth exchange is for you! Youth for Project Management will be learning by doing. Through teamwork the participants will implement initiatives of their own choice during the youth exchange. In addition, the participants will learn about human rights, European values and democracy, as there will be discussions with stakeholders and various debates on issues, which are important nowadays. By such discussions, we want to give you some inspiration for your initiatives. Furthermore, the project is a perfect place to make new friends, explore new cultures and learn from each other :) It is going to be one of the best international projects you will ever experience!

Each national team consists of 10 participants. We have 4 groups: German, Dutch, Italian and Cypriot. 8 of the participants are the youth of various backgrounds ged between 16 and 25. We expect those youngsters to be interested in the topic of the youth exchange and eager to learn in order to implement their own initiatives. They are selected by the partner organisations/group leaders.

The other 2 participants are the group leaders. They are the ones who have been working together to make this youth exchange happen. Together group leaders are communicating with the national groups and facilitate the lerning process of the participants. In August, the group leaders are going to meet for the Advance Planning Visit to meet to plan and finalise the youth exchange and its activities.

Not only you will find many parks and forests here, also plenty of sunny end-of-summer days to enjoy! There are plenty of museums that offer a reflection on daily life and cities that have adapted contemporary lifestyle, with so many bikes, flowers and canals. It is also the best time to enjoy its local specialties such as cheese, stroopwafel and the way local people pronounce the ‘r’ - especially in Septemberrrr. Holland.com is the official website of The Netherlands. Why not discover today why the country slogan is the original cool? Go Holland.com

SNEEK

Sneek is the water sport capital of Friesland. The final of the skûtsjesilen championships takes place here and it’s home to the largest inland water event in Europe: Sneekweek. Every water sport enthusiast planning on visiting Friesland should definitely visit Sneek due to its central location in Fryslan waters area, but even if you are not an waterrat you have a good time here while enjoying ice skating, or spot some top-models when you are being with us and be inspired twice!

FRIESLAND STYLE

Friesland Style! What it is? After a few days being here you will see for yourself what is there to do in the region of Friesland that is also called Fryslân with the unique and for a lot of Dutch people funny â. Uniquely located in the north of Netherlands it offers an bustle and hustle for everyone that liks to enjoy a sense of freedom, while at the same time steals your heart away. Enjoy some typical sugar bread called Beerenburg or some famous cookies. Or enjoy being active doing surfing or walking in one of the five islands just a stone away by walking there through the water yourself? With a lot of scenic cities, beaches and forest the region offers just a bit more logical, idiosyncratic, and also more freely atmosphere than other dutch provinces without their own language and culture. Check for yourself what’s there to do
